FASTPASS+ Testing at MK 4/29-5/3

Recommended Posts

TMSM is reporting that FASTPASS+ Testing will begin at MK next week...

As part of the preparations for the new FASTPASS+, next week the Magic Kingdom will be doing testing for the new system on both of their parades, ‘Celebrate A Dream Come True Parade’ and the ‘Main Street Electrical Parade.’

The testing is scheduled to run from April 29 to May 3 2013, with FASTPASS tickets being given out at random to lucky guests throughout the park. The FASTPASS area will be in the center of Town Square, so you have the best view. Once MyMagic+ and FASTPASS+ are in full swing, most parades and shows will feature FASTPASS.

Confirmation has come from The Mouse that FASTPASS testing will take place for the Celebrate a Dream ComeTrue Parade and Main Street Electrical Parade, April 29-May 3.

The FASTPASS parade viewing area will be location in the inner area of Town Square on Main Street.

During the testing, FASTPASS tickets will be randomly given to Guests in the park on a first come, first serve basis.

As with the FASTPASS testing that recently took place for Fantasmic at Disney's Hollywood Studios, holding a parade FASTPASS ticket will not preven a  Guest from getting a FASTPASS ticket for another attraction.

Word is that this testing may or may not result in parade FASTPASSES being part of the final park offerings under the new MyMagic+ system.

recent update...

MyMagic+ testing will be taking place  for the next few months, at all 4 WDW Theme Parks and Walt Disney World Resort Hotels to prepare for the upcoming rollout.

During this time Cast Members and Guests may be invited to participate in the testing and adjustments will continue to be made based on user feedback.  During this testing period MagicBands may be seen throughout the Walt Disney World Resort and will be used for room and park entry, payment and FastPass+.

As has been mentioned previously, MagicBands will be used to touch to enter resort rooms, touch to enter theme parks, touch to redeem FastPass+ and touch to pay at participating locations.  Table service restaurants will NOT be included in touch to pay.
