I asked dh if we could think about taking a day trip over to meet y'all and he seemed downright excited!  We can't camp if we hope to get to the Fort this year, but would love to visit with y'all!

One of the things that Stone Mountain is famous for is their laser show.  They do it every night during the summer, and it's usually really good.  They project the show right onto the front of the mountain where the Confederate soldier carving is.  They play lots of country and patriotic music, and at the end there is a fireworks show.  Now it isn't like the fireworks at Disney World, but it is still a nice relaxing way to spend an hour or so.  There is a huge lawn right in front of the mountain, and everyone brings their blankets and relaxes on them while they watch the show. 

Anyone interested in our GG group going to the laser show one night???

I agree with Holly, you can't do Stone Mtn without going to the laser show.  There is a bus in the campground that takes you around the park.  I wonder if we can arrange to all go together!  :banana:

Don't let your children go running and screaming through other people's campsites while playing tag.  Don't let your children flash their flashlights in the face of other campers while they are eating their dinner.  Please make sure your children know that they should get out of the middle of the road and move to the side when a golf cart is trying to drive through.

Ok, starting this as the official thread for getting Stoned on Memorial Day.  We are booked, and now that we own a TT again we should be able to make it.  We're booked in site 75.  For reference, I've linked the campground map.  Lorna is in 32, Bob 30.  I think Carol is booked in that vicinity as well.
