  1. I interned at Cedar Point and lived there for 5 months. There will be plenty to do for everyone in the family. The shows are great, tons of flat rides, and the water park was just expanded and is gorgeous! There is also free access to their beach if you'd enjoy the stroll. For coasters, definitely hit Rugaru, Millennium Force, Top Thrill Dragster, Raptor. Feel free to send me a message with any other questions!

  2. Nice little park, come farther east and try Knoebels, free admission and has a lot of kiddie rides, campground on site but only electric, you can fill your water tank and there is a dump station as you leave.

How far is that from Hershey?

  3. It is peak tourist time here year around, we are use to the higher prices and did not think to even mention it. Gas went up again this week preparing for summer travelers.

That's no fun lol. We have decent gas prices here, but we're also used to Orlando area prices.

  4. Who has ideas for baby and toddler proofing your unit? Aside from the obvious cabinet latches, I'm trying to find a good way to keep my two year old from opening the door from the inside. All thoughts gladly welcomed!

Well the rocks are in and the fence is going up. Still a lot of yellow vests standing around. Looks like a government job site to me.

Haha, that is an incredible number of vests for the length of the beach. Kind of like driving along I-80 most days. I am creeped out by the thought of the unseen reptiles that are likely to set up house in there.

Yeah, I'm with Big Tom on this one.

Guests of other resorts who show up to trick-or-treat at the Fort are huge freeloaders. It's the same as when people show up in other neighborhoods to trick-or-treat.  To me, the deal with Halloween is that there's an implied agreement that you are being a good neighbor by generously giving out treats to your neighbors.  It's not a free for all.

As I said earlier, it isn't as big a deal as it's being made out to be.  It's very simple to sit in your camper and ignore the whole thing if that's what you want to do. Nobody will knock on your door and bother you.  But, the part that bothers me is that I'd like to give out nice treats to my fellow campers- not a bunch of brats belonging to the Mommy Bloggers group or a carload of kids from the All Star Resorts.

    TCD

I agree, TCD. I know what they say about assuming things but...I do assume that the folks coming to my campsite to ToT are also staying at the campsites and are my neighbors while at the Fort. Otherwise, the ratio of overall Disney Resort guests to Fort guests would just be crazy! There is a different atmopshere at the Fort, that's why we all choose to stay there. The idea of me hauling my family to the Contemporary because I heard that the third floor was going to ToT amongst themselves wouldn't make any sense.

  7. Hi everyone,

I'm looking for ideas on a safe, easy option for staying a short overnight (Camping World or something similiar would be fine) on our way down in December. We want to push at least half way before we stop so this would put us into the southern part of NC or so.

    Thanks!
