OK, we stayed in 1100 last spring break and loved it. but just to keep trying things out, hows 800 or 900? are the sites far apart? is it "busy"? Our child is now 23 so were not as into the kiddie stuff, plus we're both teachers so we want to get away from kids really (hope that makes sense) but we have always eyeballed those two loops. Are we just doing a "grass is always greener" thing? Should we just relax and stay in 1100?

We rent from Meachum's, great guy. Do any of these do golf carts too like he does?

We are getting a sign made for us but what do y'all use to hang it/display it?

Thanks so much for your help, and once again I?m really looking forward to my visit to Ft. Wilderness Resort and Campground.

Whoops, now you have 1500 and 1600 on there, and those aren't premium loops.

Just out of curiosity, why did you leave 800, 900, 1000 and 1400 off or your poll?
TCD

Well folks, those who live in the south, get ready. The SAME company who busted the pipeline last month, DID IT AGAIN! This time it exploded and killed a guy and injured five more. So, two separate pipelines in two months.

It doesnt seem as bad this time. Everyone is not panicking. The QT around the corner does seem to run out from time to time. I think it's just a matter of the Tanker trucks keeping up?

we LOVE the Fort but have only tent camped. Which loop is best for a couple of adults looking to relax and enjoy the place?
We are renting from Meachums and are getting a 32' pull behind type trailer. We will be the for 8 days during the first week of April.
Evidently, we have a "preferred" site.
no pet so looks like 100 or 200?
Thanks!

We are coming down the first week of April and have a RV reserved from Meachums. We usually tent camp and have limited options on loop requests.
Do we now have more now?
Which loop is best (we are just going to relax and it's just the two of us)?

I can second Meacham's RV. We have rented from them twice, both times in a hybrid and in the pop up loop. Golf carts, too. Andrew is awesome to work with!
We went with Meacum's. Moore's was interesting but they never called me back.

We used this company several years ago and had a good experience (I don't believe they have pop-ups though): http://www.mcrfl.com/fort-wilderness-packages
wow, this looks nice.
i like that a golf cart is included!

So I got an email yesterday, evidently fortcamper rental is going out of business Dec 1!
We had a pop-up set up for Spring Break.
Now what?
I really hate it that I never got to trade with them. They seemed so nice!

OK, we're "Fort folk" but are coming to WDW over Thanksgiving break (We are teachers) and couldn't get a site.We are staying at the Polynesian which is nice though. We have been given the option of staying over Thanksgiving day itself. Anyone done this?
Tips?

OK, We are coming to The Fort in April and are renting a Pop-Up from fortcamperrental (thanks to y'alls great advice) and are debating rather or not we can make it without going to a park.
We are AP holders but they expire this Christmas season and we are not looking at coming next summer or fall so if we can get through this Spring Break visit without them it would save $ and make good sense.
We have come 4 times during this AP cycle and been coming for 25+ years so we don't feel like we'll be missing out on much.
We have done a "4 Park Challenge" before where we visited every park in one day but never a "No Park Challenge".
My question is this;
Have any of y'all ever gone and just hung our at The Fort and just done "Fort stuff" like to HDDR, swim, fish, and Campfire?

We had a young crowd next to us playing beer pong! We were relunctant to say anything to them because we were afraid they would get mad and become worse neighbors! The guy across from them went through the proper channels and they were upset to say the least!
I told them as they were leaving that it was ok to camp and play beer pong but that Disney wasnt the place for it.
It went in one ear and out the other.

While we were camping there we toured the place in our golf cart (a favorite thing to do!) and i spyed some "Fort Fiends" signs!
We want one!
went RV shopping for 1st time=HELP!

Ok, we had about an hour to kill and went to a local RV dealer. Wow!
Nice stuff!
But how do I know i'm getting a good deal?
Advice for first time shopper?
(we've been renting up until now)
How may trips do ya'll make a year? (non-Disney included)
Is it like a car, should we look at brand new ones?
Are there a lot of incidentals or hidden costs? (maintanace, repairs, etc.)
Are some brands better to stay away from?
HELP!!
