    How large is your tank and when are you traveling?  Kudos to you, if you can make it with one fill-up; that's awesome!  Our tank is only 26 gallons, which stinks.  In all our trips, we've only had one trip where Tom filled up, before we hitched up.... we hit NO traffic (what??!! Crazy!) and the winds were in our favor.  That one trip we were able to stop only once for diesel and coast into the driveway on fumes.   Every other times, we've stopped twice (this was pulling a 32' TT with two kiddos and one dog).  We will either leave between 3a-4a to get into The Fort by noon (it is a 9 hour drive with basic traffic... it's taken us 11+ to get home before) or we leave after work the night before and stop for the night for an early arrival at The Fort, the next day.

    My tank is 40+ gallons, thank goodness. I get over 700 miles from a tank when not towing. Not exactly sure pulling the T.T., we'll see ?.

    Where you coming from? I'm curious about the 9 hours and would like to gauge our expected travel time.

  2. Making our first trip in a week. I'm wondering about getting around once we're there. We have friends who are regulars and they often fly in and never get or need a car. We'll have our tow vehicle to use but wonder if it's advised?

    So what are your thoughts about driving to and from the theme parks or water parks or Disney springs, etc. vs just relying on Disney transportation?

    Thanks in advance!

  3. First off, my apologies for starting another of these threads, but I've read all I can and still have questions.

    Secondly, I understand that I can only make a loop request but ultimately they'll put us where they put us. But I figure it doesn't hurt to try.

    Our situation; visiting 5/29 - 6/4, Premium pet site, family of five (three boys), plus two dogs (one tiny old guy who won't need to leave the site, one large young gal).

    What we'd like;
    near enough a playground for the boys to wander over on their own.
    near comfort station. I try not to use the tiny shower in the camper if I can help it.
    shade is good
    would rather not be right on top of the 'action'. would prefer some semblance of peace and quiet at appropriate times.
    within 10-15 minute walk/jog to the dog park, doesn't need to be right next door.

    So, I guess I'm looking at maybe 500 or 1100? 800 and 900 look nice but appear to be pretty far from a playground. Any other thoughts?

    Other questions;

    How often do the internal bus routes run?

    How long does the typical boat ride to and from MK take including wait, loading, unloading, etc.?

    How long does the typical bus ride to and from the other parks take including wait, loading, unloading, etc.?

    Is it OK to run a dog on the internal walking/jogging path?

    Thanks!!!

  4. We are looking forward to our trip at the end of May. Our reservations are made. I have a question that I'm sure has been covered here before so my apologies for that.

    My wife's parents will be staying off Disney property mainly due to their pet (they don't have their own camper to stay at the campgrounds).

    Is there any reasonable way for them to have the ability to join us at the campsite and then travel with us to the parks each day? Of course they could just meet us at the parks each day (and it very well may come to that), but thought it would be nice to be able to spend more time with the grandkids at the campsite and then travel with us as we go each day.

    Any thoughts?

  5. Hi, I'm new here but look forward to learning a lot from you guys/gals.

    I have a couple of quick questions to start;

    I want to go ahead and book a site for April or May next year, but I haven't begun to figure out what we're going to do about the theme parks. If I go ahead and book a campsite but do not buy the park tickets at the same time, do I lose out on any benefit or discount?

    Also, we may decide on early April next year which would mean that we're already inside the 180 day window to reserve certain things (like rides or meals, not sure as I have yet to figure it all out). Is this a huge deal?

    Thanks so much for your willingness to share your expertise! This will be our family's first Disney trip.
