I don't know about campgrounds. But don't take kids to Key West. Unless you have a very open mind. I always thought I did until we watched a parade on Duval St and they were throwing out beads and condoms. If it were just me and dh no problem. My 12yo wanted to know why they were tossing condoms. Then I wanted to know how my 12yo knew what a condom was.

NH is beautiful. But you won't catch me on those mountain roads again. I had a panic attack on the Kankamankas Pass. Not sure if thats how you spell it. I am a true Floridian and the only mountains I want to see ever again is Space, Big Thunder and Splash.

This rig was set up on the 2000 loop. I haven't ever seen anything quite like it. It looks like this was a double decker set up:

We were in the same loop with this setup. It was cool. It looked like their sleeping quarters were on top of the jeep and the kitchen or living area was on the bottom. Very neat.

Also, wasn't it on Sunday that we met down by Pioneer Hall?

I belong to the Pop-up portal website. Great info for pup campers. It's a great place to get info and meet people with other pop-ups. We have two Florida Rallys a year. This Spring we went to Lake Kissimmee State Park. In October we are going to Silver River State Park in Ocala. So far we have about 28 rigs going. We have a big dinner on Saturday where everyone brings something to share. It's a great time. I have made some great friends through that site. Check it out sometime.

My advice to you is simple.

PATIENCE!!!!

I was both a girl scout leader and a cub scout leader. I enjoyed camping with the cub scouts so much more. (Please don't take that the wrong way.) Girls are just too high maintainence for me. Boys aren't afraid of dirt and bugs. They also know how to occupy themselves better than girls.

We are staying here in October with my popup camping group. There are about 30 popup campers going. It should be fun. It looks like a great park. Look at Salt Springs Campground also. We stayed there last October. It is in the Ocala National Forest. It has cement pads and full hook-ups. Really nice campground.

I was going to do a trip report and then I realized I didn't take any pictures.  Don't want to bore you with just words.  But I do want to share my Brush With Greatness with you guys.  I met the one and only TCD.  I was completely in awe.  I saw him down by Pioneer Hall with his daughter.  We chatted for a few and I asked him if he was going to join us here on Fort Fiends soon?  He said it would be soon.  I can't wait!!  That was definitely the highlight of our trip.

I knew y'all were there and we tried to find y'all, but no luck. :rofl2: When did y'all come home?

I love the song from Tiki Room.  It's almost like Small World in that it sticks in your head for hours and hours.

I guess I am the oddball.  Once I get to the fort I park the Jeep and always use the buses.  I figure when I am on vacation it is time to relax.  Driving is not relaxing to me.  I'd rather let someone else do it.

Baskin & Robbins peanut butter & chocolate ice cream.

The way it should be made; that is, chocolate ice cream with a thick ribbon of real peanut butter in it. Not peanut butter chips, or peanut butter ice cream - real peanut butter.

2nd favorite - a toss up between the hot fudge brownie sundae from Ghirardelli's at DTD or the Gold Rush, also at Ghirardelli's, or the No Way Jose sundae at Beaches & Cream.

Iagree!!!  Chocolate peanut butter all the way.  On a cone or in a bowl.  Doesn't matter to me.

So we have a sorta plan going.  We arrive on Sunday.  We will stay at the fort that day.  May go to Downtown Disney.  Monday we are goin to Hollywood Studios.  We have dining ressies for Cape May Cafe for the seafood buffet.  Tuesday will be a Fort day.  Wednesday we will go to Magic Kingdom.  Thursday will be a sad say when we leave.  Right now that is our plan.  What do you think?

Decided on Disney!!
