Well we were planning a trip for next April. I don't suppose any of this will be opened will it?? :parrot:
-
That is one sweet camper, congrats! :parrot:

The only really bad problem I would have from buying off of ebay is the pictures they take of the unit. Pictures can be so deceiving. We took pictures of our tt and posted them on craigslist and the pictures turned out great, the outside looked great but we knew it was more faded looking in person. Pictures can make somethings look like a million bucks.

What's in our TT? TOOOOO DAMN MUCH!!!! It is crazy how much crap we take with us, some times we actually have to go out to the camper to get things we don't even have in the house!!!
Ain't this the truth! That's whay I'm doing now is decluttering our camper, we have more towels in the camper than in our house and that's just plain silly so I'm working on getting some of it in the house this week. Plus dishes we always eat on paper plates so why do I have 25 plastic plates in the rv??

How far in advance do you need to make a reservations for a golf cart do you know?? :rofl2:
-
We stay on 300 all the time. It's definitely a good location if you end up without a cart. You're right near the playground and dog park and a fairly short walk to the Settlement/Marina area.
No worries - you'll be fine! :rofl2:
I second this, I'm totally out of shape but was able to walk to the marina just fine, I really love the 300 loop! :rofl2:

This is one of my families favorites, super easy and really good : Crock-Pot Chicken Tortillas
Meat from 1 whole chicken
1 can cream of chicken soup
1/2 cup green chili salsa
1 medium onion, chopped
1 1/2 cup grated cheese Monterey Jack
1 dozen corn tortillas
Black olives
Tear chicken into bite size pieces, mix with soup, chili, salsa. Line bottom of crock pot with 3 corn tortillas, torn into bite size pieces. Add 1/3 of the chicken mixture. Sprinkle with 1/3 of the onion and 1/3 of the grated cheese. Repeat layers of tortillas topped with chicken mixture, onions and cheese. Cover and cook on low 6 to 8 hours. Garnish with sliced black olives.

Thank you! And I'll stay far far away from that Diary Queen! LOL :rofl2:

Is this a nice campground to stay at? Is there anything to do in the area? TIA
-
It never fails whenever I have bought a camper thoughout the years I always love the floor plan until I actually get to camping and then I'm like I should have got this so that. After owning 5 different campers I have one now that I can say fits my families needs perfectly. It only took me 22 years. :rofl2:
-
Thanks that's what I've been hearing too though the grapevine.

Whenever we go we usually stay for a long period of time also. What we do is hit whatever park we want and spend a few hours in the morning and a few hours in the cool of the evening. We never run ourselves.

Does anyone know when some of the work being done will end? When will MK be completed with all the new stuff?
-
I don't know what this is but I will be investigating it for my next vacation, sounds interesting and something I would be into. :rofl2:

There is a great deal right now for military:
I found it on the Disney Website under special offers:
Wow that is a good deal. To bad no one here is in the military. And I beg friends don't count. :rofl2:

I really like Ocean Lakes, it's the only campground in the area that I know of that will let you bring in your own personal golf cart. And the activities that they have are a lot of fun for everyone...bingo...amazing race....price is right etc.
We always try to go in September when they have their big craft show, that is heaven on earth,I bought so much stuff last time it was silly.
And they are about the most wheelchair friendly that I beleive that you're going to find. Thumbs up for this campground, my favorite loop is the 2000 loop, close to the beach and doggie walk.
-
Wow that is a dream, someone put in a lot of hard work on that baby!
-
Hey that sounds great, I would love to see some pictures if every you get some. My dd gets heavier with every waking year and my back is about gave out. We do have a wheelchair van but our RV is not wheelchair friendly.
-
Unless you just really want a brand new unit, I really think your best money spent is in a used unit. We just bought a "new to us" camper back in November and it has everything we wanted and more, I could have never got it for a good price brand new. There are so many nice used campers out there that are far better priced than a brand new one.

You are the man! :bday:

If you tell me all the money that I have ever gave to the bus drivers at WDW went to management I will be sick. We alway budget tip money for the drivers for helping with my dd, I enjoy being able to do that and I always insist that they take it but if goes to the WDW company that's just plain sickening in my book.
-
This might be a good question to ask you : What do you think is a reasonable tip to give to a bus driver that helps with a wheelchair guest? TIA

I like the west side of 400 because it's easier for me to get into and I also watch all the loopers in their carts on the main road.
Ok thanks for that. Ya that sounds good to me to.

Your favorite loop will depend on what you intend to camp in. All sites that I know will take a popup or tent, but if you have a fairly large TT, 5th Wheel or Coach, some loops don't work so well. I would like to stay in the 100 or 200 loops but can't get my coach in either very easily. 1600, 1800, 800, 700, will work if no one is parked directly across from your selected site. Makes it difficult to back in. I also like some of the sites in the 400 loop. The ones on the west side are better. Haven't stayed in any of the others, so can't comment on them.
Curious why you prefer the sites on the west side of the 400 loop ?
It's very busy at WDW?
