Well darn, we had to cancel our Halloween ressie's because of school and kids sports But we'll still be down for Thanksgiving and then New Years! :)

Yay! We just added a quick trip down for Halloween (also hubby's bday and F&W of course)! We'll be there Oct 30-Nov 4th! :)

We do have a few trips to the Fort planned this year! We're excited to get back down there. We'll be down as soon as school is out for some lazy days at the pool...then back down for Thanksgiving and the New Year.

My oldest (dd13 now) and I walked around near the marina and had dinner at Trails End last month. It was pretty cool to hear her talk about how much she had missed it. We spent a while on the porch, it was a good relaxing time. :)

Does anyone know if they still offer a family or weekly water rental package? I remember years ago fort fiends (Auntie maybe?) talking about doing this. For one large $ you could use the sea racers and pontoon boats for that week. I called Recreation Reservations and they had not heard of this. I also called the marina at Fort Wilderness directly and the young gentleman didn't seem to know about it either...but he also didn't sound like the sharpest tool in the shed, know what I'm sayin'? I'm guessing I'm out of luck, but wanted to see if any fiends had accomplished this in the past couple of years and who to call or ask. Thanks for any info!

Thanks, and that would be a great place to visit with her Jessica!  We had quiet mornings and evenings on the beach...and big fun in Myrtle Beach during the day, ha.

Most of the sites on the perimeter loop (oceanside) are nice!

Very nice!  Carol, you mentioned this place before when I asked about campgrounds up that way.  Thanks for posting pics!

We really like this place too.  There is a sidewalk that runs from the RV pad down to the tent pad/fire pit table area also.  This loop is nice, the others not so nice.  Sites #16 and #18 are the best in the campground if you guys ever make it out this way.  Oh and be sure to let us know if you do! :dance:

The area where most of you have sites was closed the one and only time we camped there (winter).  We did however take the cart down in that area (did you expect anything less from a fort fiend, hehe)....and it looks like a great place to camp!  Those sites seemed more level than some of the other areas.

We have 3 girls also....12, 6 and 5 years old.

Will let y'all know when/if we book!

These were taken at Hamilton Beach State Park, Murrells Inlet, SC.  This park is a short drive to Myrtle Beach, but we felt so far removed.  We went during one of the most busy times of year, yet the beach wasn't crowed at all...LOVED IT! :banana:

Here are some pics from Sawnee Campground on Lake Lanier.  It's a few miles from the house, so we like to camp here for those short weekend trip! :banana:  These were taken in 2009, when the lake was about 12 feet low.
