  1. Hi All,

We have reservations at the Fort for a premium site during April 2020.  Our plans were to use our trailer, as usual, however we may not be able to take it this time.  Would anyone know if you can rent a trailer to have set up at your site.  Is there a specific company to contact?  How do we work that with Disney, do we have to let them know?  Would we be able to request our site in advance as we usually do?  Any information that folks might share would be appreciated.  If not our alternative may be to try and switch the reservation to a hotel room.

    Thanks.

  2. Sorry I just logged in again.  I'm getting ready to take a bunch of my students to Gettysburg on Saturday for a debate competition and between that and our annual school trip to Washington and lessons and the new PARCC exams it's been a busy past few weeks.  We are planning on arriving on Friday 4/3 sometime in the afternoon.

Yes it has been a heck of a winter.  Most of January was not bad and we felt lucky getting back home after Christmas in Disney without weather, but then February hit and wham.   We finally have a few warm days. The melt is on and now it's lots of water.

Going to get the camper back from the shop tomorrow.  It has been there since we returned from the fort in January fixing the damage from the blow out. Between waiting for the insurance, which was awesome I will say, and then parts and service plus the snow storms I'm finally going to pick it up.  Now I need to get new tires before we head down in a few weeks.

The memory maker is an good idea, how does that work with a group?  We did it over Christmas when the entire family was down but this time it is just my wife and one daughter and we were not considering it but if there is a group it might be worth it.  Please let me know the details of how that would work. Would we just be linked through the my disney experience?  Any others besides you and Katman?

  3. We will be down there for Easter week.  We should be arriving on 4/3 or 4/4 depending.  Winter up north has been bad and with recent snow day we lost 4/2 so we have to ask and see if we can get that day off.  If not we arrive on Saturday.  Looking forward to seeing you again.  Sorry won't be able to join on Easter, going to visit family that day near by.

  4. Hi All

We are coming down for our first Christmas at the fort arriving on the 24th.  We were wondering if there is anything the veterans would be willing to share as we've been to Disney and Fort Wilderness many times but this is our first Christmas.  We were planning on decorating our site and have been reading in the forms a variety of rules or restrictions.  We are a family of seven, all grown and some with significant others so no little kids to worry about.  I was unable to find any activities schedule for December on line.  We heard of the golf cart parade and look forward to walking around to see the decorated sites.  Any advice that you're willing to offer will be welcome.  If this has already been covered in a different discussion thread please point us there.  Thanks.
