  1. Good morning - does anyone currently staying at the Fort know if they are doing the brunch at Trails End on New Years Day and how much it costs? We're checking in tomorrow and when we called it goes to the reservation center and they said they should be doing it because its a Sunday, but they aren't sure, all they can see if they have no special menu, and then gave the range of prices you get off the website! Not much help so if anyone is there and knows the answers I'd really appreciate it!
  2. Thanks! Funny the time I asked we were in partial site too! Maybe since they don't have a lot of them they won't do it! This time we're in full hook up so guess I'll give it another shot - it doesn't hurt to try but I do notice they aren't that strict if you leave a little after 11 anyway.,
  3. Has anyone ever asked and gotten a later checkout at Fort Wilderness? If so, do you ask when you check in, the day you're checking out? is there a number to call or do you go up to the lobby area? I'm just looking for an hour or two this coming Sunday and last time I trled they told me they couldn't do it. It wasn't the front desk, it was the reservation center so I was thinking they may not know as much as the actual front desk! Thanks!
  4. Hi - as usual the dates I was looking to book do not come up but if I extend the reservation it comes up. I've seen the threads that they no longer let you adjust the dates ahead of time but am I correct that at check in you can drop days and that is still ok? Also, does anyone know if this policy is only at the fort or is it across the board at all the hotels because I made a reservation for Poly not sure the exact dates we would go since you have to book so far out to get in and now I'm nervous the whole thing will get cancelled if we drop a day! Thanks you guys are always awesome with all
  5. Great! That's one of our favorite things when there over the holidays!
  6. When do people start putting up their Christmas decorations? We'll be there in 2 weeks - going to MVMCP but didn't know if it would be too early to see some of the decorated campsights!
  7. Thanks everyone - I'm hoping it was a one time thing. We've stayed in the cabins many times which have the 3PM checkin and have gotten in many times at 11 so a 1 PM check in for a slab and told come back at 3 I was a bit annoyed! It wasn't my request that wasn't going to be available till 3 it was all full hook up that's what blew my mind - mid-Sept at 1:30 nothing in full hook up was available I just found that hard to believe and my husband wasn't going to argue like I would have if I was there. Well can only hope for the best next time - we love fort wilderness and have used the cabins for
  8. Wasn't sure where to post this so I'll attempt it here. So anyway, we had our first tent camping experience a couple weeks ago and had a very unusual experience at check in and wondering if anyone else ever had this happen and if there is anything that could have been done if they didn't "find us a site". Here goes - we were only tent camping but booked a full hook up site because that was all that was available and I've seen others tent campers in this section before. My husband gets to the campground at 1:30 (email and disney website says check in for campsites is at 1) He proceeds to check
  9. Great thanks! The one we got does say it does not need a rain fly and we were torn on whether to believe that! How do you attach the tarp? They are much cheaper then the Coleman rain fly!
  10. That's great info - thanks so much I really appreciate it all! I can see this is a fun group and glad to be a part of it!
  11. Oh and we're not booked until mid-November, going to do mickeys merry Christmas party while there! When do people start decorating their campsites?
  12. Thank you all so much - this site is awesome! We actually looked at that ozark bigger tent but I was afraid it wouldn't fit on their pads! We went with the 14 x 10 Coleman instant 8 person from amazon. Looked plenty big and easy to put up, I would definitely prefer to be in the patial loops with a tent but they were sold out the weekend we planned but I will try for that in the future, I know my kids would have a blast over there! This is just a short trial run. How far in advance should you contact disney regarding certain slabs/loops? I want to be semi close to the comfort station! Thanks a
  13. Thank you for the wam welcome and tent suggestion! We are looking at the "instant" type so hopefully we pick the right one,
