  1. I knew joining this site was good move. =_)

Thank you all so much for all your input. I have to admit I was really wondering about Halloween as well. We moved to NY a few years ago from Napa CA and some of our best trips to Disneyland were for Halloween. Disneyland really does Halloween right.

I guess I'll sit back and countdown to the 499 day mark so I can book Christmas for 2016. Meanwhile I'll continue to work on building my Mickey lamp post. Word to the wise......if you plan on building one and order the globes from Home Depot, the small nub on the top of the large globe is NOT top dead center lol. So if you see a Mickey head lamp around the Fort at some point and the head looks like It's leaning to the right a bit.....it is and it's not playing tricks on your eyes lol

  2. Ok.......I'm sure this topic has been discussed over and over and over, but I cant find it  lol

We bought our first RV in Oct of last year and packed it away for a blustery NY winter and took it to the Fort this past March for spring break and we loved it!!!!!!!!!!!!  It was our first trip ever so I'm scared it's all downhill after the Fort but were going to keep an open mind. We had such an amazing time were planning on going twice a year now and are planning on next May and December so here's my question to the fiends. Have any of you actually spent Christmas there at the Fort and if so how far ahead did you have to book it to make sure you had a spot? Do they do any special dinners at the Fort on Christmas Eve or Christmas day? I know its going to be crazy busy but we want to do it at least once while the kids are still young enough. I also looked online to about booking it but only goes out to this December and when I called they don't even show anything available yet.

Any information or advice would be great and Thanks in advance   =_)

  3. Hi Everyone,

I would assume there's a past thread regarding thins but I've had no luck finding anything.  We purchased an RV this past October and since we live in upstate NY it went right into winter storage and didn't come out till yesterday when I drove it to fill it up with Diesel yesterday in preparation to leave for the fort this coming Saturday. I got out at the gas station and couldn't believe how dirty it was. So that got me thinking of just how dirty its going to be by the time we get to the fort. I was planning on stopping at a Blue beacon truck was but it shows 70% chance of rain now for Orlando next Sunday when were scheduled to arrive so it made me have second thoughts about paying to have it cleaned en route if it's going to just get dirty again before arriving. Is it ok to wash on your site?

    Any suggestions?

  4. What you have (i.e. Class A, TT, 5th wheel): 41' Country Coach Allure

If you're towing (so TT or 5th wheel) how heavy is it: 48,800

If you tow, what is your tow vehicle: Honda Element AWD

    Gas mileage: 9

Do you like it, love it or hate it (this applies to both the tow vehicle and what you're towing (or driving if Class A or C): Love it so far....We're a family of 5 (twins 8 yr old) and a Black Lab. Never camped in our lives and decided to try it after a friend wanted to see us his pop-up camper and we quickly jumped on the idea. A few days later before we gave him an answer my boss came to me offering to make me a great deal on his gigantic luxury class A so he could convince his wife to let him buy a Prevost. So I looked inside and with little or no thought said "YES" and have yet to use it after buying it last month. First trip will be from here in NY to the Fort in March.....Scary huh!  lol
