I will bring something chocolatey for dessert. I am still up for having the potluck at my site but need to know what time does everyone want to start the potluck? Do we want to do it before or after trick or treating?

TOT for 2010 was supposed to end by 7:30 (STUPID plan!!!!) but had kiddies until about 8:00 last year. By the time I put away things & got down to the beach to watch the fireworks, I almost missed them. If this is the scenario for 2011 I won't make it to the pot-luck dinner until 9:15-9:30.

I wouldn't mind coordinating and/or hosting the potluck at my site. I don't have kids so I will be around my site passing out candy. We can start it around 6:30 or 7 as trick or treating is winding down (assuming it is around the same time as last year) and go until whenever.

I was wondering what had been decided for the GG as well so thanks for asking. I think a potluck on Halloween is a great idea!

It depends on what loop you are in...I was in the 2000 loop last year and didn't pass out near that amount of candy. But other loops passed out at least that amount of candy from what I understand so it really depended on what loop you were in. I requested to be in a full loop this year and not a partial loop so I am going to definitely bring a lot of candy this year...I am really excited to get some more trick or treaters this year!!! And to meet some fort fiends!

Thanks for the great trip report on what you did in Charleston!! I am going in a week and it gave me some great ideas on where to go and what to see. And Happy Anniversary!

I will be there a couple of days only...October 30 to November 1st. I love halloween at the fort though so I can't wait!!
