  1. We're seasoned campers and we've stayed in the cabins but never the campground.  My DH loves peace and quiet when he's camping.  I know that FW is a very family oriented place, and with 10 people allowed on site ,quiet is probably hard to come by.  We've booked a premium site and looking at the map I'm leaning towards 800 or 1400. We really don't need or want to be near the pool/trading post etc.  We will have bikes along to transport ourselves around.  Any suggestions? Thanks

  2. It would appear that they want folks to park their vehicles in the overflow lot rather than crammed into the sites.  However, the overflow lot is at times full of the vehicles of freeloaders using the pool.  So it would seem that the next logical step will be for Disney to paint yellow lines in the grassy areas around the Outpost to fit more cars.  No sense actually solving a problem when you can just destroy more wilderness.

I thought pool hopping was a thing only the Deluxe resorts had to deal with!

  3. I really, really don't like towing anything!  My DH does all the driving all the time. Granted when we owned our first pop-up and then small TT I would tow - just so long as there was a rest area to pull into (no backing up, difficult parking etc.)  Our TT has grown to 31' and NO way will I even try to drive pulling that monster.  Now DH and I are looking into a Class A.... he'd really like me to learn to drive that...

  4. It's been a few years since I've been to the fort.  Quite honestly I don't recall cart parades and other such business going on.  Are these things mostly around holiday time?  We will be traveling during the peak spring break time.  Should I expect blocked off loops, loud parties and craziness in general?  I have a motorhome so  we'll be on a premium loop (does that even matter?)  I sure hope I won't be spending the week in the middle of a raging kegger with golf carts....

  5. I have a 32' TT we use a Chevy Suburban to easily tow it.  I see you mention two teens in your family.  I'd really look at those bunks. Some run really small and become unusable as teens "grow" into adulthood.  I find most 5th Wheels to really be designed for the "full time" rv folks rather than family. We are ready to move up to a Class A after many years in our TT.  Good luck with your shopping!

  6. The fort is plagued by "phantom" reservations.  People book one night at the Fort so they get "on property"benefits and FP+ so the site they booked sits vacant.  I'm hopeful that Disney will close that loophole.  I also highly doubt that Disney has any year round residence.  That's a different type of RV park that has residential full-timers.  I think the CM meant that the couple arrives at the same time each year.
