What time do they turn these on?
-
Thanks!
Our overnight campground stop for last night had issues, so we had to keep driving. We are two hours closer now.
-
Will I be able to check in before 1PM?

They handed us a can of Off spray when we checked in for no charge. The mosquitoes are pretty bad right now. I usually don't get them but I have been bitten quite a bit when I am not in front of a fan.
Ugh!!!
We like to sit outside at night, but my wife is allergic to them.

How would I secure the cart to keep someone else from using it? Aren't the keys the same?
-
We will have a golf cart. I am assuming there will be a spot to park it at the parking lot?
-
Will the buses run early enough to get to the parks for the early 8AM openings?
-
We will get to Disney in 6 days and I am trying to get some type of schedule for seeing as much as we can in four days. I read somewhere else that driving our car to the parks would be quicker than riding the bus. Is this correct? How about the boat ride option to any of the parks.
Are there easy directions to get to the parks and how long will it take from Ft. Wilderness?
-
What is the fax number for a site request?
-
Great info - we are scheduled for the 10AM ride. My wife really is wanting to see Giraffes up close.
-
Is there anyway to find out how long a particular ride will last. An example is the Safari ride at Animal Kingdom.
-
I really did not expect to do much on the Sunday that we arrive. It will be a lot to keep us busy just to tour Ft. Wilderness on the day we arrive. We have 4 full days after that. We also have Park Hopper.

There are different theories about what the best strategy is for morning Extra Magic Hours (EMH). Whether or not they're "worth it" for your party depends on what park you're talking about and what you are hoping to accomplish there.
There is a popular school of thought that it's a smarter strategy to avoid the park that has EMH's and instead go to one of the other parks at its regular opening time. The thought here is that EMH's draw a much larger crowd than a regular park opening morning, and the other parks will be less busy at opening time as a result. Also, parks that have morning EMH's will get crowded earlier in the day and tend to stay crowded.
However, during busy times of the year, all of the parks will be crowded at opening, and the fact that only WDW resort guests will be admitted to the EMH park can be an advantage.
If you're not visiting at a busy time, or if you have young children, or you plan to tour at an easy pace, or your party isn't interested in riding the headliner attractions multiple times, then EMH's may not be for you.
But, if you are visiting at a busy time, or if there are headliner rides you want to ride more than once, or you're visiting Epcot or DHS where the FP+'s are tiered, and your party is able to go hard, then EMH's are the way to go.

Would 9 days from now be a busy time?
-
We have FP.
-
While at Ft. Wilderness for our first time there will be early hours at Animal Kingdom. Is this worth getting into the park early and will anything be happening at that time?
Epcot will also have early hours for one day while we will be there. Is this worth getting in early for it.

This is a newbie question. Will a November activities calendar come out and when will it come out?

We had very few around the 4th of July.
The yellow biting flies were worse, but they should be gone by now.
And they seemed to be more underneath the trees.
I hope so. My wife is allergic to them.

I read somewhere they were currently bad, due to the rain from hurricane mat earlier this month, I am bringing a fogger/ yard control spray
This is why I am asking. We had a wet summer in South Alabama and they are terrible.

Are they bad there at night?
-
Please keep updating this info. We are scheduled to be there on November 6th.

I am looking at the online check-In and there are only three options that pertain to the Fort. I have a 34' motorhome with two slides and a fold out awning. I also want a pet loop. The options show a fifth wheel (but not a motorhome), a fold out awning and a pet loop. What two options do I pick? I will have a golf cart so I do not need to be near transportation. I have a Premium site reserved.
-
Thanks for the reply back. I have been going through Google pictures trying to identify what loops are what with not much luck. I have found maps of the campground, but not one with the site numbers. Can I send in my request some other way besides fax. I don't have access to a fax machine. How is the cable service there?

To add some more info our little Yorkie (6 pounds) does not do dog parks very good. Most of these have gaps that she could get out of. She enjoys walking and meeting people more than running or sniffing in a dog park. So being close to a dog park is not necessary.
It will also only be my wife and myself. We have not been to Disney World since 1990 and we will only be there for 4 full days (11/6 to 11/11).
