  1. Because lost children are tought to trust police. And to a young child that badge will/could mean police. Additionally, adults may let their guard down when/if approached by someone wearing or flashing that badge. :siren:

To many whackos in this world to allow something like that to sell on a public auction. :popo:

Many places, will not sell duplicates of nametags, uniforms, etc. as memorabilia because of security. If they do, they dumb down the items so there should not confusion of the real thing and the suovenir.

Sadly, I agree. There are some mean people out there. I would worry about pedophiles. However, I doubt there is anything anyone can do about it. :argh:

  2. this was my first weekend of really do-ing the coupon thing.. I got $135.00 worth of groceries at Krogers for $28.00!!! I'm hooked..

now on to bread machines, I'd LOVE LOVE LOVE to hear your receipes, I have a machine and I've used it a couple of times, I just dont have any good recipes and I want to do more!

I second that request. I have one that I got for Christmas that is sitting unopened. I hate to pay $4-5 for bakery bread.

    Great job on the coupons!

  3. I am on the fence about doing this. I have in previous years, but it just seems to be getting expensive. We have TIW and if we go on an off day we could end up doing this at much less cost. I just did the math and tor Tutto Italia for the same meal for a party of 3 It would be $195. (I am rounding up) excluding tax and tip. With TIW it would be $134. excluding tip and tax. So, it would be $61. extra for the seating. Having seen it before I am not sure I would pay that to be that close. (disclaimer: if you are reading this and you have never seen it, DO IT! It is fantastic, I am looking at it from the standpoint of having done it several times)

    Any thoughts are welcome...

  4. Maybe it was because we hit Le Cellier during a bad time (Candlelight Processional Package in 2004), but we thought the service and the food was some of the worst we have ever had at Disney. I would rather have had Cheddar Cheese Soup out of a can than the nasty stuff we got :barf: .

We loved it before, and it was tasty this time. I am not sure if "tasty" is enough to get me back when there are other venues to try. Via Nappoli was excellent!

  5. Great job on the photos!

This little tidbit caught my eye:

I'd like to hear more about this -

Can you get the cheese soup to go all the time, or just during F & W?

I remember that there was a booth selling cheese soup at one of the recent F & W's, but it was back by the America pavilion, and on the day we went, the weather was cool, and they ran out. Are you saying you can go in to the restaurant and get it to go?

I just won stuff on ebay to make a collage around the spike. I will post pics when it is complete. It is not all railroad, but rather Fort related. I have personal pics of our family on the train platform and other goodies.

  6. Were you at Disney-owned restaurants every meal??

Some of the restaurants that are not owned by Disney have chosen not to participate in TiW

Also, counter service in most places does not accept it either.

The All-Stars, Pop Century, POFQ, and Animal Kingdom are the only CS that accepts TiW.

SCI-FI. Not a big deal because it was the holiday 2nd, not 4th. I think he forgot to use it honestly and I didn't push it because we had to go and get the dogs. Next time I will push it because it is not like it is a free card. I also thought trails end would take it, and they will but not for carry out.
