  1. We were in the 200 loop at the end of January and the location was perfect for us. My Dad and mother-in-law cannot walk alot anymore and the loop was close enough to the settlement trading post for them. I had also booked the 200 loop because of the coquina, even though it SMB. I had thought we might need to pitch a tent behind the 5th wheel for my oldest. (didn't happen since he stayed home.) It IS costly but I just added that into our vacation budget. Full disclosure: we rented from Donnie so WE did not have to back the trailer into those sites. They did seem pretty tight.

  2. Saw lamb chops on sale today and almost got them. Now I am thinking that I need to go back to the store. Those lamb chops look good! I will risk being on Dave's list. ( but maybe I could get a " get out of SMB" card too, if I promise to someday figure out how to post a pic of our Great Pyreneese?)

  3. I am not sure how I feel about this. On one hand, I have to agree with Ftwildernessguy. Starbucks coffee tastes burnt to me. Yuck. And Starbucks at disney just feels wrong. Aren't there enough of those in the real world? On the other hand, I am completely and totally addicted to starbuck's chi tea lattes. So I guess I will have to budget extra $ for drinks on our next trip. <_<

  4. No, they don't have 2016 prices on there yet. But lets face facts, prices are only gonna go up. and I know there are deals out there and we probably won't need to spend that much. Better to be prepared for it though. And, I think I might be willing to spend 10 grand to not have a grad party hosting all of our out of town relatives. I am certain my hubby would spend that much.

  5. Great trip report Aaron. I am from Cleveland and I remember some of this stuff. I am pretty sure I spent time in that steel mill bar as a very young girl. Dad worked at the mills and played on the company softball team. After the games the guys would go for beers and give all of us little kids a bunch of quarters for pinball. (not sure what it says about me that my earliest memories are of a bar.) and shopping at "twigbees" for christmas! and sitting (Freezing my ass off) in the dogpound of the old stadium watching Bob Golic and the "kardiac kids" play the steelers. ahh, memories....Ok. back to 2012. ;D

  6. Great early morning photos TCD! Now I really really want to go on a cruise. It is something that my family has always wanted to do and my daughter has decided she would rather go on a cruise that have a graduation party in 2016. I priced it on the disney website and it will cost the 5 of us $10,000!!! I guess I had better start saving my pennies now.

  7. Steph,

Thank you for posting this mini tr. I love seeing a member of our military coming home safe. My hubby was active duty for 20 years and is now a contractor working with the military so I totally understand what you were feeling waiting at the gate. That excitement that you are going to see your loved one soon but the feeling that it is not real and you don't believe it till you see him with your own eyes. I am so happy that you all got to see Jordan, even if it is for a short time. Please tell him welcome home and thank you for your service from MinnieMom's family.

I need to go dry my eyes now. :usa:

  8. Ticks were really bad here in Virginia this year. I know that I pulled half a dozen off of myself and the kids this year. It's bad when the kids calmly say "oh, I've got another tick, can someone get it? or Oh mom,you don't need to check for ticks before I get in bed, I already pulled them off of me." And two of my dogs were infected with ehrlichiosis this year even with using advantix. Luckily, we caught it and started antibiotics right away. So put me in the I hate ticks group as well.
