  1. peeps-smores-1.jpg

So what do you get when you combine a peep and a s?more? a shmeep maybe? Whatever you want to call them, they are good, and I am not fond of peeps. I do like marshmallows, but peeps? You have to admit they are kind of gross, and a little odd. But peeps are so freakin cute, and no Easter basket would be complete without them. So here is the perfect quick and easy recipe to use up leftover peeps. Just add chocolate bars and graham crackers to the kid?s Easter baskets and you?ll be set!

    Peeps S?mores for Easter

    Ingredients

    ?peeps

    ?hershey?s chocolate squares

    ?graham crackers

    Method

Place graham crackers, chocolate and a peep as shown in first picture. Zap in the microwave until soft. (Or place under broiler.) Top with another graham cracker square.

  2. With 3 kids I would go look at a dodge mega cab. They have lots of room

I second this suggestion. I have a mega cab and it has plenty of room. With a bed cover, you would have more room to carry stuff in the TV as well. The mega cab will allow your kids to grow without out growing the TV. Not to mention, if you go with a 2500 or 3500 CTD, you allow for those future TT upgrades that will surely come.  :rofl2:

  3. Dee Bradley Baker, the talented voice actor of the Clone Wars television series, will be attending the second weekend of Star Wars Weekends 2011.

Baker confirmed he will be attending via his personal Twitter account and has attended Star Wars Weekends in the past.

Our sources tell us Ray Park (Darth Maul) will be in attendance for Star Wars Weekends 2011 for the last two weekends of the event, June 3-5 & June 10-12.

Ray Park will join Jeremy Bulloch for weekend 3 and Peter Mayhew for weekend 4.

In a personal email to Studios Central member obilorne, Peter Mayhew, best known for being Chewbacca, said he will be attending Star Wars Weekends for weekend 4.

Mayhew, a long time Star Wars Weekend veteran, will be joined by Star Wars Weekend hosts James Arnold Taylor and Ashley Eckstein.

There's a fairly credible rumor floating around right now that Jeremy Bulloch (Boba Fett) will be attending Weekend 3 of Star Wars Weekends 2011.

  4. and I always complain about the transportation for the fort (no offense Lou, but we need more busses going to the fort.

No offense taken. I always complain about the buses too, but my complaint is that there are too many buses there. Too many times, I can't get in there to drop off and pickup because some idiot internal driver is just sitting there holding up the buses behind him.

As for your complaint, save your breath, nothing is going to change. You'll have to accept things as they are or do as I do, DON'T USE THE BUSES if you have a vehicle.

The only reason I ride the busses any more is in hopes of catching a glimpse of the mythical Lou, buss driver extrordinair. I ussualy drive every where with the exception of the MK, then we take the boat.

  5. I debated replying to this thread. Last time I commented on a topic like this I got yelled at  :argh:. But, this has been a problem for the Fort for a long time. I have seen other resorts limit access during peak times. The polynesian had wristbands to allow access to the beach during New Years Eve. The beach club has wrist bands to access the pool. The grand Floridian limits access to the guest floors to only guests or those invited. I know these are the higher end resorts, but we all spend money at Disney so we should all be afforded the same sense of security. The Fort, with or without security, is just way to accessible. Just given the size of the resort, people can come and go as they please and get away with pretty much anything. The only sure way to get Disney to listen is to 1) boycott the Fort until it is fixed or 2) bombard them with complaints. There are hundreds of fiends on here. If we each send a complaint regarding this problem, we can have our voices heard. Make it well worded and offer suggestions to correct the problem. I ussualy get a request to fill out a survey after each visit and use the opportunity to voice my complaints. I always mention the "locals" using the fort pool and beaches and I always complain about the transportation for the fort (no offense Lou, but we need more busses going to the fort).

I for one, would love to see a writsband system or at the least room key check implemented at the Fort. This would allow those who do day trips to the fort to continue but would stop the overflowing pools and hoarding of the pavilion.

  6. For the major holidays we splurge because we love the Fort during holidays (cept the crowds), for other visits we rely on the CM discount for sites. We do get a premium because it is easier to get our rig into and is worth the extra moola for peace of mind. We can do a fort trip on the cheap with the CM discount and even do a park or two using the free passes we get. We use to go more often, but its work keeping us away right now, not prices.

  7. To me it seems like they've been playing that same annoying music since 1956. It's way over due for a complete overhaul.

If I never hear it again, it'll be too soon. I guess after the first hundred times, it gets old.

How's that for an opposing and snarky view.

    Lou,

I agree. Disney seems to hang on to the old for nostalgic reasons. There are a few things Disney should change over the years to make things different. For some, Disney isnt a passion like it is for us. Having something new to see and do would keep people comming back. Im glad to see the changes to Fantasy Land and that horrible Toon Town (never did feel that area fit into the whole Disney theme). Now they need to change Its A Small World.

I love nostalgia, but I agree about Small World!

If you don't like it,...don't ride it! :rofl2: I happen to like it's a small world....nostalgia at its finest.....

NOW, I HATE the stupid stitch ride.....rode it 1x......thats it, haven't visited it since! lol! :o

I dont ride it. I avoid it like the plauge. But when we take somone on thier first visit, its one of those must experience once rides. I agree with the stitch ride, but my youngest DD loves stitch so I end up on it almost every trip. I got out of it last trip as they were having technical difficulties and the she forgot until it was too late to ride.

  8. Here is a question that has brought about varying answers. When set up in a site, such as at FW, what defines your site?

I have always been of the mind set that my site, the one I am assigned, extended from the curb side of my RV (thats the side with the door) to within a coule of feet of the site next to mine. I would not consider it a common area and will use it to my harts content. I only consider it within a couple of feet as the connections are on the street side of the next RV. Of course if there is no site on my curb side, I consider a reasonable distnace (about 10 feet from the edge of the pad) as part of my site, unless otherwise posted in the park rules.

So what do you all say? What do you consider YOUR site when camping?

  10. Like I've said before we need to give our own members a shot first. Lorna posts here and her son and hubby (I am NOT going to DH you Richie) own a shop. I'm just hoping the people on here that have businesses let it be known what products they have so we can frequent them.

I think this is a great idea for a sticky. Any fiend who owns a business should have one post on the sticky with info about thier business and contact info. Then if any of us needs something, we can check the sticky first to see if there is anything out there.

  11. I was thinking the same thing. If they are selling it for that much, they make a great profit. Current club cars are selling for $300 to $600 at PC. That menu sign is $35. Im sure all of thier prices are marked up. Its either a CM or someone who knows a CM. All of the items they are selling are or were on the PC listing (or look very familiar). I have not seen any where where it says you cant resell these items, so I guess its legit.

  12. Ive had to help some folks back in, but never do it for them. If you cant back the thing up, you shouldnt have one. I do know some people who will not stay in any site other than a pull through. I do agree pull throughs are easy, but you will have to back that thing up one day, and if you do not have experience it could end badly.

  13. Dont give the government more reason to nikle and dime us. I do think that a course should be mandatory for anyone who buys a camper for the first time. I had my course when I got trained on tractor trailer for my job. It was actualy pretty extensive and had to do more than a civilian course would have required. So Im pretty comfortable towing my rig around. A 40 footer is not that big a deal for me. Though some of the sites at the fort challenged my backing skills some.
