  1. WE are good, my house flooded Thursday before last from my washer. Note to everyone, when you get out the thing in the bottom of an LG washer, screw it back in really good or your house will flood. My washer is in the middle of my house, so toast to alot of my laminiate. Great news, I can still get my flooring, so that is a blessing.

I thought the place we store the trailer was flooded, but it didn't. Couldn't have taken 2 floods in 1 week.

Thanks for asking, so nice of you!

  2. I am looking for some advice for the dining plan. I am leaning toward the standard dining plan. I know we will eat at the trailer, so was thinking that we will to enjoy some of the 2 credit restaurants. Looking for advice on how other campers do the dining plan. I am not going to be spending my time at Disney fixin elaborate meals, but I can take something out of the freezer, etc and throw it together. I am looking forward to eating at some of the great restaurants.

Suggestion are very welcome. Can't wait to get to the Fort and Disney, we have never been before.

  3. I am totally sold on Ft Wilderness, but the frugille side of me isn't. I get all the benefits of staying on property. I can stay at a KOA for less than $500 vs. $12oo plus for Ft Wilderness. The Koa has a shuttle to Walt Disney. I have emailed KOA for shuttle details. I am not trying to start a war, just wondering if others have done this and how it worked out for them.

    Thanks,

  4. We will going to WDW June 2013 for the first time with our son for his 9th bday. We have only traveled as far as 250 miles with our trailer before. I want to try to make it to WDW in 2 1/2 days. We are on the Nw side of Houston in Cypress. Question, where are good places to spend the night. We have never traveled this far, so clueless as to how far to go each day. I know that it is Hwy, but I also have been stuck in La on I-10 before going to New Orleans too. I would like to make it to Biloxi the first night. I appreciate the advice. Where would be a good palce to stop in Fl for the second night. I am thinking that being closer to WDW on day 3 is important, we will be excited to be checking out Ft Wilderness. How long is the check in process?

We have a 30 foot trailer, going to get a new truck before we make the trip. Any site recommendations due to length of trailer. I also need wifi for work, I know work, but I own a business and have to work on vacation.

Next question, I see that the check in time for Ft Wilderness is 3pm, will they let you check in early if you arrive a hour or so early? Not a big deal. Just wondering.

Is it necessary to get a premium site. I do like concrete pad, less dirt in trailer, but also like to not spend money either if I can go a cheaper route.

I am not looking for a destination rv park, just a place that is nice, pet and kid friendly, maybe a pool to swim and relax. I would like to be as close to the Hwy as possible.

  5. I just booked our first trip to Disney. There will be 3 of us. Me(mom, wife, planner) , husband and son(taking him to Disney for his 9th birthday. We are coming from Houston pulling a 30 ft Outback and hopefully our jet ski behind it. WE are at Ft Wilderness for 9 nites. Question, what type of site. We are bringing our Jack Russell Penny with us, so we need a pet loop. I reserved a premium site, but is that necessary. I am also planning on getting the dining plan. Leaning toward the deluxe plan, I really don't want to spend my time in Disney cookin. We are planning on traveling in Fl after Disney, so I am sure I will cook enough then.

I figure we will eat breakfast in the tt. I want to enjoy some nice dinners, so deluxe dining gives us the opportunity to eat at some nice places. I'd love to hear from others about what they do.

I am so excited, can't wait to get to Disney! Thanks for the info.
