  1. Oh no.....we are so sorry for your loss. As you have probably read, we lost two children this past year (June 24 and December 12) and both times we debated on whether to continue with our plans to make the trip to WDW. Both times we agreed we HAD to go and needed to go. Both our children and the other 2 we lost in 2006 and 2008, are always with us. Winnie the Pooh one said "If we should ever have to be apart, just keep me in your heart and I will always be with you". Your precious wife will always be with ALL of you. She would not want you all sitting around grieving over her passing but rather she would want you celebrating her life. My little suggestion would be: Name the motor home for her....her favorite nickname, the name she wanted to call it......

And put her picture on the wall in the RV.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Hope to meet you sometime at the Fort. We will be there in June and back in December. God Bless You.

  2. He should have been parked next to some we have had to endure......late night loud kids, bouncing balls right at our bedroom window, early wake up by same loud children.......but we never complained and just smiled when we saw them. We have also been next to folks who leave early every morning and drive back in at 1-3 am. And after slamming their car doors at least 40 times (it seemed that many) did not settle in for an hour or two.

  3. We took in the HDDR on December 19th and thoroughly enjoyed it, We try to do it every year when we are there. The kids loved the music and we all loved the food. I do think the strawberry shortcake was a little different but still wonderful.....just not enough of it. We did not ask for more though.

On Dec. 31 we went to the Back Yard Bar B Que and enjoyed it as usual. Food is always wonderful but I was not as fond of the chicken this year as I have been in the past. Not crispy enough. Shawnee did much better with the loud music this year too,

We will do both of them next year too.

  4. I am coming to the experts with this question. Actually I have the answer to it somewhere but right now only the Good Lord knows where it is. I need the mailing address for the Campground to give the new little one's caseworker so she can get permission for him to travel with us to Disney in December. Also need it for our mail person so our first class mail can be forwarded to us. Thanks for your help once again.

Love, Judy and the sweet Angels

  5. I think we are O K on our many, many Christmas decorations although I had wanted to be closer to a street to give me more room to decorate but I think being where we usually are will be best. We usually have an empty lot (no campsite) beside us and that helps. We hang lights from the trees and on the bushes so the only thing I can't hang this year will be the large bells.

Wish we were there for Halloween but are planing on being there next year. Yipee!!!!!

Hope everyone is having fun and thinking about us folks at home.

  6. I have been wondering for the past 2 weeks why WDW refuses to allow someone to reserve a site for 3 nights when they have hundreds that have been sitting empty for the past 2 weeks. In one loop alone, all but 5 were empty. In our loop (1200) we have over half empty since we arrived on the 9th of July. The only full loop, or mostly full, has been the 600 loop. This seems like a waste of space and money could be made instead of them sitting empty.

Anyone have any answers on this? We will be heading for Mobile on Sat. for a memorial service on Sun. for our Kenya. Then home to Stone Mountain on the Monday the 25th and a memorial service on the 30th there for her. When those are over, the reality of it all will hit us. We miss her so much.

  7. Thanks to all of you for your concern over this broken arm.  My son asked me how anyone could fly out of a golf cart while in a parade in Disney World.  I told him it was not easy but I thought a little action might help us win....it didn't.    I am doing much better.  The staples have been removed and they are going to leave the rod (inside the bone) and the screws in there forever.  I have 3 more Physical Therapy sessions and hopefully that will be all.  I can continue doing most of them at home then.  I have promised my doctors and  my therapist that I will stay inside the golf cart or OUT of it completely from now on.  Thanks to everyone who helped out with feeding Ken and the kids while I spent Christmas in the hospital.  Thanks Mary Anne for picking me up at the hospital on the 30th and bringing me back to the campsite.  Loved meeting you and your beautiful daughter.  My accident has proven how great the Fort Fiends are.  Thanks again for all the prayers and good thoughts and I hope to see some of you in July and again in December.  Judy
