Were some of those modern buildings for the Olympics?

I'm in! Nice room and who knew that finding your room in the Contemporary required math skills?

The pood forn photos are looking great! Wondering if you just brought a camera on the trip or if these were taken with a cell phone for convenience? I've noticed lately that I haven't really carried a camera around since the cell phones have upped the game on picture quality and these photos are great!

I guess it must be cheaper there. I think it's like $4 a pack. Not sure how long a pack lasts, but that's some serious change
In good ole "Taxachusetts" a pack will cost around $9
Some people I know have started to roll their own again. Just different "stuffing" than they used to put in 35 years ago.

Page 3 bragging rights! Don't any of you people work during the day? Nice start to the trip report TCD!

Looks nice! Great pood forn pictures too. The blue sky is a nice plus.
The time I went to LA in the early 1970's to visit my uncle was a different world with lots of smog. My eyes began watering so bad that they brought me to an eye doctor who basically said "this only started once you got in the valley with all the smog; I suggest leaving instead of trying medication." Good advice for back then! Loved the area and would like to get back there now that the air is better

I really enjoyed this TR! You and Sarah have great smiles and the photos of you having so much fun really brightened a few of my boring days between trips. Glad that Sarah got the Bambi pillow after all.
Now for the serious question that I bet at least one of the Wild Womens knows the answer to:
Can you still get a frozen Mojito slushie in the parks? Used to be at the refreshment stand in World Showcase as you went counter-clockwise toward Canada.
Nancy's favorite drink and they weren't available last June.
Maybe someone has the recipe? I have a wedding anniversary coming up and it would be a nice touch if I could make her one of those,

It's a good thing, too. On battery power and the temperature dropped to 40 last night. Just turned on the furnace while everyone else sleeps in this morning.

Hanging my head in shame - reversed the polarity

I really doubt it, but will certainly check. I am so paranoid about dealing with a battery like that I even went back to the truck to get safety glasses "just in case". But, never know with that new battery.

When we opened up our trailer this spring we had signs of mice for the first time in 8 years of camping with a trailer. Everything worked fine on our first, weeklong, trip to Virginia Beach in April.
The trailer has been in the driveway for weeks and was plugged into shore power as we got ready for this weekend. Luckily, camping close to home.
I put the trailer on the site last night, set things up, disconnected the truck, etc. Went to turn on the water pump to wash my hands and I could tell from the sound the batteries were nearly dead (two 6v golf cart batteries). No big deal, I figure I blew the fuse between the shore power and the battery charger. Got a new deep cycle battery, went to connect it today and I can't keep the 40 amp fuses from blowing.
Should I disconnect the new battery first? Put a new fuse in and then connect battery? Or should i try another fuse?
Also wondering if I should pull the other smaller fuses, put in the 40 amp fuse and see if there is a particular circuit that might be causing it to short?
I see a holiday weekend spent on the trailer floor with a flashlight checking out circuits for signs of mice eating them.
Or maybe using flashlights and drinking beer all weekend instead. Tell everyone to use the campground bathrooms. Starting to like my tent even better.

I remember the FL check-ins that day. I bet you slept peacefully after that long day in EPCOT, even with a power nap in Ellen Energy Adventure

Love it! I would also like to see a TR about Yellowstone if you can. A few of us have been to Yellowstone and can't wait to get back.

That castle forecourt area looks really nice, but I wonder how long the grass will survive with so many people walking and sitting on it? We were just in Washington DC this past April and it seems like they are always working on the National Mall to revive it.

Very late to the trip report, but love it! The evening photos of Tomorrowland are my favorites so far, and that is saying something when you compare it to the pood forn!
-
Love it! By the way, the photo of the two of you on the carousel is priceless. I don't think you could be having any more fun in that photo.

Wow - sounds like an incredible scare with the asthma attack! Glad to hear that they were able to help her quickly and get her back to the Fort.
From the photos it looked like she had enjoyed the first part of the day.

First page bragging rights! Short trip report so far, but I'm in!

Ouch! I was able to get some E rated tires in same size for mine at a great deal. Michelin, cheaper than the Bridgestone, Cooper brands.
I don't need the extra load rating beyond LT, but the extra thick sidewalls "feel better" in strong wind conditions and cornering.

Just saw this thread - hoping that things improve soon. I hate to hear of kids being sick. Don't like to hear of anyone being sick, but especially kids. Wishing the best for him and your family, hope he is up to 100% soon and able to do anything he wants.

Seeing that the 12-13 is out, and the weekend prior to that is Labor Day, let's see if we can get some votes going on which weekend:
September 19-20
September 26-27
October 3-4
October 10-11 (I think this is Columbus Day weekend and typically the last day open for any state CG that is still open after Labor Day)

Should be home Sunday - can check the calendar then

New England GG Fall 2015 - anyone up for King Richard's Faire?
in Grand Gatherings
Posted
Now that I have my PC back in action (and some time to sit in front of it) I was thinking that we should book Oct 2,3 and leave on the 4th. Does that work? They have some openings and King Richard's Faire is still going on then.
