Thanks for the pics!!, That gives me some great examples

I have been the "designated eater" of the cakes Ed has ordered and I can say they were gorgeous and tasted great!
I'm glad you said they were good, because it would be pretty bad to have a beautiful cake presentation and then the cake taste horrible.
-
I've ordered several ... and they were wonderful! Pricy, but I thought they were worth it ...
I know they are "pricey" yikes, but we are at Disney. Should I call GF directly or go thru that cake hotline?

I have been considering ordering my daughter a custom made Birthday cake when we eat at the Grand Floridian. I know that I will have to order it about two weeks out, but was wondering who has ordered a cake and were they happy with it.

Don't want to be repeticious, so if it's been answered let me know where to go. Does it not work with IE 9?, is it just a phone app at this point?.

Oh my gosh, that was the sweetest thing I have seen in a long time. It made me cry thinking about when we surprised our girls. I hope your little princesses have a wonderful, magical time

Thanks everyone, All I've heard is the world of difference between the two in terms of pulling, backing etc. We emptied out our Puma yesterday. It was a little bitter sweet, but we are ready.Weve had lots of family memories in it, but we are ready to make more. I will send pics of it out on Sat. or Sun. Then as far as Dollywood we will be there the week of Thanksgiving. So yes, I will send out plenty of pics. We missed Smokey Mountain Christmas last year due to them having a snow storm come thru. But being we are going in November, knock on wood that won't happen.

Hey all, have been working alot of hours so I've not been on in a little while, but during that time we made the decision to trade our Puma TT for a Rockwood fifth wheel. We pick it up on the 5th of November and actually I'm really excited. Our first trip in it will be to Dollywood for Smokey Mountain Christmas. I'll post pictures as soon as it's home.

We have used the regular dining plan and the deluxe dining plan. I think both probably save money IF you would eat the same meals at the same restaurants. I think it is nice because it is paid up front, so you don't have to worry about a "food budget" on your trip. It also gives you the opportunity to try many different restaurants without feeling like you're breaking the budget. However, it is a PITA having to be somewhere all the time and especially with the deluxe, you just get tired of eating. I think it is an individual preference. I know that without it, we do not eat out as much because when you look at actually paying the menu prices....wow.
I agree. We had the deluxe several years ago, and it really did feel as though 50% of our day we were eating. Since then we have always got the regular plan and we ourselves never feel like we are watching the clock. We make all ADR's for the evening only and have made cancellations and rebooked on the spur of the moment with little problem. We just go with the flow. We've always enjoyed the Dining Plan.

Has anyone stayed at Lake city RV park? We just want to pull in around early afternoon and leave first thing in the morning for the Kingdom. Any and all feedback would be appreciated.

Oh no Lizzy, you went to Allears when we have the real menus and reviews right here.
Just click on pages along the top, then restaurants, and you'll find the stuff on the GF Cafe.
I hope Monique doesn't read this post.
I don't know what I was thinking Lou, I'm crazy!!!

While we are still in the planning stages for next years trip, I'm trying to get some ideas for her Birthday dinner. The first day in we aren't going to any parks, so she thought she might want to try the Grand Floridian cafe. The menu I pulled from all ears looked pretty well rounded, but as we all know, unless you've been there or know someone who has, well you know. So throw those opinions about this place at me.

Personally, I had a pretty good idea it was going to come to this, I'm not surprised. We don't add charging priveleges to our room key either, but since we usually get the meal plan, for us it means less digging for cards. Now as far as being able to secure fast passes when your not even in the parks, that I'm NOT crazy about. I don't think that would be to fair, sometimes it can be a challenge to get a FP you want on certain attractions amongst the people who are there with you, let alone having someone sitting at home having already secured that particular time slot. What would be the fun if you didn't have to make the mad dash to the FP kiosk?

All I can say is I had nothing to do with that thread being derailed. :rofl3: :rofl3:
Guilty by association >:D

Well, we are taking off on our maiden voyage in our new 5ver, ( Yes i know I promised pictures, but have been busy). I will take plenty of pics of Smokey Mountain Christmas @ Dollywood, and look forward to sharing them with everyone. I have been looking forward to this trip so much, work has been so crazy. This will be our first thanksgiving on the road, but my parents and their best friends will be joining us, so we will be with family. As soon as I can I'll start posting
