I hope it's not me! Over here in the 800 loop. About to shut it off for the night and hope for the best.

Anybody have any word on what was going on? We saw a bunch of WDW vehicles going around when we got back from HS about an hour ago. Took us a while to realize why it seemed so dark, lol.

Here is a question related to this topic. I remember back in the old days, like maybe 30 years ago, that Birnbaum's WAS the Unofficial Guide. Am I having a delusional flashback? It was before Birnbaum himself died and actually wrote the book.
I remeber growing up that the Birnbaum book was part of our pre-trip ritual. Going to the library or book store, getting it home and reading it cover to cover with my parents.
That would of been about 25 years ago though. Nowadays, I believe what is online eclipses anything the book can provide. I remember being disappointed last time I read through it a few years ago.

You had me at "bacon weave".

I saw some green lights in the trees, didn't even think about it being a projector of some kind. I thought it was an insane amount of effort to get all those lights up there...
I want to get one of the"disco lights" projectors they had at a few sites. Drive some people at the office insane. ..

I am with TCD on the Wireless. If they wanted to they could. We owned a large wireless company in Wisconsin and IL for over 10 years, trees can be an issue however there are just as many trees around the cabins as are the campsites. Maybe there is something I don't know.
What I DO know is we are here and I have to use the internet in my Mothers cabin to work because the Internet provided to the campsites is so poor. ( I did try mooching the cabin internet from my Mom's and the signal is too weak)We were able to get a kit which is no longer in a nice box, now they throw it all in a bag. Our net has been down more than up and SLOOOOOW when it is up. First year I have had a problem with this. We also had no electric until we called the front desk and waited for a repair guy. Needed new breaker. In addition to that, our cable feed is awful if you can believe it. We only get 3 or 4 channels and all of them are crap. If it were a news channel or weather channel so we could keep up on the big storm in the Philippians you would not hear a peep out of me. I still love the Fort, and I am not really complaining. These are just things I have noticed in decline and I hope it is not a sign of things to come..... Lawnmower tree, Wagon, ect......
On our stay a few weeks ago, we stayed at the 500 loop and moved to the 100 loop when a site was available. The cable signal in the 500 loop was great, and the internet connection worked fine. In the 100 loop it was not so good. We had a few channels that would break up and the modem was almost unusable bandwidth wise. We were just far enough from the cabins that we couldn't get a useable signal.

I've been going for years and never knew about the calliope... Never walked through the ranch due to my allergies :banghead:

This is awesome, I wish we would of been there for the cart parade but at least now I get to see it!

Finally got done putting the video together. HD version should be available as soon as YouTube finishes processing.

So Disney has gluten free pizzas on hand to bake upon request?
At least at Wilderness Lodge and Trails End. I would suspect elsewhere as well.. I heard that the pizza quick service places in the park can accommodate as well. I've read about people getting them at Pizza Planet in the Studios and Pizzafari in AK was mentioned to us by the CM in the allergy cart at AK. That cart is a great addition to the park IMO.

Here's my 2 cents and MB experiences during our 3 week stay:
When we first checked in, the MB weren't available, was a bit bummed by that. A few days in, we happened to stop up front for something else and asked about availability and they were available so they got us all set up - sort of. Page they gave us with the reservation number was not correct, so had to call the reservation line to look up the correct id. After that, punched everything into MDE and poof, I could schedule FP+ from my phone.... but the site claimed my wife was not eligible. Farted around with it more than I should of and gave up. Tried it out at the park and we the linked AP worked fine for park entry, purchases worked, just FP+ was broken.
Next day we stopped up front before heading out to the parks to see if it was an easy fix, after explaining it and talking to 3 cast members, it was determined that only 1 acct was marked "eligible". We were told an email needed to be sent to someone to correct it, should work soon, worst case next day. Long story short, didn't fix it, one more stop and the same story did not help either.
Last few days of our stay we stayed at the Lodge, when we checked in there we mentioned the issues and they corrected it immediately, but the system would not let them set up a pin for my band for purchases...
Overall, the system is pretty neat, but the FP+ reservations need some serious tweaking and MDE on Android phones.... won't even go there. But, it shows promise and hopefully it will get better.

We had the pizza and wings while we were there a week or so ago and they were great. My wife is GF and had no ill effects, and both items tasted great. The pizzas come as a small, we got 4 in a box (only 2 in the picture because we were hungry and it smelled REALLY good...). We stayed at the Wilderness Lodge during our last few days of our trip, and we only got 2 smalls as part of the order there, so YMMV.
The wings were flavorful and messy, just like they should be!
I don't know the rules on posting pics ( I should of checked first), but the image button doesn't seem to be working. Here is a flickr set: http://flickr.com/gp/24370343@N07/1B3G7P/

We just got back home yesterday. Here is a dropbox link to all the halloween decorations we found. The last two pics are ours. Had a great time!!! Need a fiend sign before I go back!!!
Just got back Saturday, we rode around on the cart and took some video of all the displays. Once I get it together I'll post a link.

One of the area loops for Port Orleans - Dixie Landings is pretty similar as well, as well as some of the Frontierland tracks if you are looking for more.
