Charleston, SC for anniversary

Recommended Posts

DW and I are going to Charleston at the end of the month for our 15th anniversary.

We are staying here http://www.harbourviewcharleston.com/

We should be in walking distance to most of the attractions in the Historic District. Does anyone have any recommendations on must see things while we are there?

Thanks in advance for the help.

If you like BBQ go to Sticky Fingers on Meeting Street. I go everytime I am in the area, and I even get it shipped to my house on special occasions. It was actually part of our rehearsal dinner when we got married. Great ribs and good pecan pie.

Best Regards,

Norm

Another vote for Sticky Fingers. I will miss it sorely when my stepson gets transferred to Tampa :'(

My oldest stepson has been stationed at Charleston AFB for 18 years. Needless to say I have spent a lot of time there. Charleston is beautiful and the great part is that everything worth doing is within walking distance. Have a great trip

Thanks, we can't wait!

You will love it! We spent the last 2 summers there. They also have great county parks with a nice campground and waterpark! http://www.ccprc.com/index.aspx?nid=68 it's one of the best places we have found to camp besides FW and Topsail in Destin.

The Charleston Crab House is ok but pricey for what you get.

Enjoy your trip!

I agree. There are a lot of local places that you can get great fresh seafood for less. Ask a local they will steer you in the right direction

Thanks! We will check out the campground for future trips.

I think H in SC and KFK have camped there before and also liked it.
