Walt Disney World and Disneyland are celebrating this week the one year anniversary of Duffy the Disney Bear’s arrival at the U.S. theme parks with a new book about Duffy and an annual passholder gift event.

On Friday, Oct. 14, the first 750 annual passholders to present their passes at Disney’s Traders in Epcot will receive a limited edition T-shirt that fits the 17-inch Duffy plush. There is a limit of one free Duffy T-shirt per passholder, and each passholder must be present to receive the giveaway. Disney’s Traders is located near the entrance to World Showcase and opens at 11 a.m.

Also beginning at 11 a.m., illustrator and Disney Design Group artist Monty Maldovan will be signing copies of the new book, Duffy the Disney Bear, Mickey’s New Friend, at Disney’s Traders. Maldovan will be on hand for two hours.

Park guests can meet Duffy, who will be dressed up for Halloween in his pumpkin outfit, at his gazebo across from Disney’s Traders.
