AuburnJen 771
I know I have shrunk my share of thinks in those dryers and they get really hot. Please list your experiences that you have had so that others don't make the same mistake.
kampfirekim 260
I haven't had any issues with the dryers... other than the amount of quarters I need to operate them. :argh:They do get extremely hot so I would be careful of what I put in them. I can't remember if they have temp/delicate settings or not. Seems like they may but I can't remember for sure.
Judy in Texas 150
Both times I stayed at The Fort I did laundry and everything turned out fine. I never use the Hot setting, even at home. This last time we had 11 inches of rain and while I was folding clothes, two 20-something guys came in to dry their carhart jackets and athletic shoes. They each picked a dryer, put their shoes and jackets in, set them on high and started to leave. I suggested that "high" might not be a good choice, but then what does someone old enough to be their grandmother know. The shoes kept knocking one of the doors open. I put them back in three times. When I left, they were still going around. I don't know how they turned out... at least the building didn't burn down.
