Walt Disney World reservations system upgrade outage this Thursday

The Walt DIsney World reservation system is undergoing an upgrade on Thursday which will mean there will be outages affecting the ability to make certain reservations. THe system is expected to go down from 5am on Thursday February 23 2012, and is expected to be completed later that day when normal service will resume.

Disney are advising guests that:

You should aim to make any dining reservations for Thursday February 23 before 10pm on Wednesday February 22 2012.

Collect any February 23 dinner show reservation tickets (such as Spirit of Aloha) from the hotel front desk before 10pm on Wednesday February 22.

The reservation system will be receiving "enhancements" beginning at 5am Thursday, 2/23/12. They are expected to be completed that afternoon.

Disney recommends you make any desired breakfast or lunch ADRs for Thurs 2/23 by 10am Weds., 2/22.

If you have dinner show reservations for 2/23 (Hoop-Dee-Doo, Spirit of Aloha or Mickey's Backyard BBQ), you should pick up your tickets at the front desk of your resort by 10pm Weds 2/22.

If you want to purchase or Magic Your Way or La Nouba tix from your resort, or upgrade existing Magic Your Way tix, you should do so prior to 10pm Weds. 2/22.

Ticket purchases can also be made at the 4 theme parks and the Cirque du Soleil box office, but you should allow extra time as there may be longer than usual waits.

Guests qualifying for group/convention tickets may purchase these tickets at Guest Relations at the 4 theme parks.
