Disney Fantasy Cruise Ship Specialty CocktailsMar 2nd, 2012 by AJ.The Disney Fantasy was christened in New York City this week, and eager passengers await their first voyage on the newest Disney Cruise Line ship!We wanted to share a few of the specialty cocktails you’ll find on board — you know we’re all about prioritizing any on board credit you may have received! Adults-Only RestaurantsThe Fantasy’s adults-only restaurants, Palo and Remy, will offer some delicious ways to complement your meal! RemyThe uber-posh French restaurant, Remy, features a cocktail that is expertly handcrafted at your table. The signature cocktail “Collette” combines Taittinger Champagne and pear vodka, then is garnished with fresh blueberry, dried apricot, and mint leaf.We loved this one! The cool science-y part? When vodka is mixed with champagne, the champagne loses its bubbles! The sugar being released from the piece of candied apricot re-creates the effervescence! Taste? Incredible.Collette Champagne CocktailRemy also boasts two wine lists! A special list of nearly 200 wines features vintage French wines, and Remy’s Vault holds the exclusive list with rare wines from around the globe. The latter lists includes a 1947 Château Cheval Blanc, which was the wine requested by the food critic from “Ratatouille” and retails at $25,000 per bottle. PaloThe Italian restaurant, Palo, offers a sparkling Prosecco and lush red Barolo that were exclusively bottled for this upscale restaurant. The wine list brims with Italian wines including a selection of Super Tuscans and an Italian Riesling.Palo Wine CabinetPalo WineThe signature cocktail, Balsamic Grande, combines vodka, a splash of five-year old balsamic vinegar, and fresh muddled strawberries. After-dinner, grappa is served in a jeroboam bottle.Libations also include Rémy Martin Louis XIII Rare Cask, a highly sought-after cognac that’s served from an elegant Baccarat crystal decanter. Your one-ounce sip retails at $1,250. Adults-Only Nightlife District: EuropaThe nightlife district on the Fantasy, Europa, features popular venues for entertainment: Skyline, O’Gills Pub, The Tube, and La Piazza each offer unique beverages. SkylineThe bar’s backdrop features a changing skyline from cities around Europe! Themed beverages for each spot (St. Petersburg, Russia; Athens, Greece; Florence, Italy; Budapest, Hungary; Paris, France; London, England; and Barcelona, Spain) are infused with fresh herbs and fruits.Skyline LoungeTry Barcelona’s El Conquistador with strawberry, basil, and fresh cracked pepper; the Aphrodite from Athens with thyme, coriander, rosemary, basil, and mint; or Florence’s Sogno di Cioccolato with Chianti, sweet cocoa, agave nectar and whipped cream. Yum! The TubeThe ship’s dance club is inspired from London’s underground train stations (LOVE THIS)! Six cocktails were created by mixologists for this club, including the “1863,” named for the year the underground opened, is created with vanilla vodka, Monster Energy, and Imperial English breakfast tea. That’ll definitely keep you going until you can shut down the place!The TubeI tend to prefer a standard margarita, myself — are you surprised? Disney Cruise Line Frozen Margarita Ooh La LaThe champagne bar on the Fantasy feels truly indulgent! Taittinger even created a new Champagne label for the ship!Ooh La LaIn addition, a special Taittinger Nocturne featuring Jessica Rabbit from “Who Framed Roger Rabbit” is the signature bottle at Ooh La La (FUN!). The limited edition bottles will be available for purchase exclusively aboard the ship. Guests can enjoy taking one (or both) bottles home to commemorate their voyage! O’Gills PubStop by this Irish pub for the red lager draft that was made especially for this venue! There’s also a private label Irish Cream and vintage Irish Whiskey. For a bit more indulgence, treat yourself to the Blarney Stone Tasting flight with O’Gills Irish Cream, Kilbeggan Irish Whiskey, and Irish coffee.O'Gills La PiazzaThemed after a beautiful Italian plaza, the bar menu includes Italian drinks, natch! Choose between sparkling Prosecco, Moretti Peroni beer, red and white wines, grappa, limoncello, and after-dinner sips served with almond biscotti.La Piazza Non-Alcoholic CocktailsNew options created by mixologists are made with fresh ingredients and “better-for-you” options!
