  1. Well, my husband and I went to France Sept 1-17 this year, missed out on the DLP half by about a week (maybe next year!), and had a wonderful time. I was re-reading your report in advance and just got through the rest since my return. We flew in and out of Paris, but only stayed a couple days there on either end of the trip. Went to Reims, Colmar, Cluny, Lyon - so much great food, great wine and wonderful experiences. I hope you get to go back and visit more areas in France! So many beautiful places. IIRC, you have the Wine & Dine half coming up. Looking forward to your report a
  2. Howdy! Freshly back from Disneyland - ran the Star Wars Half Marathon and enjoyed some of the Diamond Celebration activities! Updates: Got my husband to try the Hot Link corndog (I don't do spicy). He said it was legit spicy and really enjoyed it. In fact, he regretted that we stopped for corndogs before getting a beer, as he could have used a drink while eating the dog. I actually haven't gotten one at the Red Wagon. Will have to put that on the list for next time. We tend to spend more time in California Adventure. After the race on Sunday morning, we headed to Hollywood to watch
  3. Thanks for this awesome report! I'm hoping to make it to DLP for the half marathon next September, and we want to make that part of a trip to other parts of Europe. Definitely lots of stuff to think about!
  4. This is a topic close to my heart, so here are the rules: When it is not obvious what service an animal provides, only limited inquiries are allowed. Staff may ask two questions: (1) is the dog a service animal required because of a disability, and (2) what work or task has the dog been trained to perform. Staff cannot ask about the person’s disability, require medical documentation, require a special identification card or training documentation for the dog, or ask that the dog demonstrate its ability to perform the work or task. A person with a disability cannot be asked to remove his se
  5. I really preferred the Disneyland races to WDW, because you run through the city of Anaheim, through neighborhoods, past people's houses, etc. People are out in their yards in PJs, cheering and supporting the runners. Such a cool experience. I had to hoof it to get that photo. I took several, but they are all super-blurry (as we were both running). The Green Army Man is actually Peter Pan, and there's a Tinker Bell in front of/between both of them. Looking at that picture again, there may also be a Tiana over to the left. And I think I see a Pocahontas on the left in the Small World p
  6. Thanks to you, I pointed out the 60th anniversary to my DH yesterday, and hopefully, we can make a visit! Actually, I have done three halfs at WDW and 2 at DL now. Wine & Dine in 2012. After registering for that, I found out about the Coast to Coast challenge, so I did Tinker Bell and Wine & Dine in 2013 to earn a C2C medal. Then RunDisney announced a special pink C2C medal for doing both 'girly' races, so I did Tinker Bell and Princess half in 2014. Theeeeennnnnn, they announced the Glass Slipper Challenge, so I did the 10K and half on Princess weekend. 2012 2013 Reasons
  7. No, not yet. Just Original. You make a good point about the 60th anniversary. I should try to get out there this year :D I was there for Tinker Bell Half Marathon the past two years, and a race weekend does not make for a good park-going weekend.
  8. Yeah, and they can be requestedeth without sides, too. Knocks a little coin off the price.
  9. With all the corn dog talk, I was expecting that you all picked them up here, at the Corn Dog Castle in DCA!
  10. For your next visit to Disneyland, you should get "nice tiny castle" T-shirts made.
  11. Good question, but I have no idea! :D Probably cheaper to outsource.
  12. You probably heard that correctly; they have also made a recent costume I wore (Disney Store).
  13. What a wonderful report! Thanks for the beautiful pictures and the cruise review. I've been interested in this itinerary for quite a while. I sailed on one of the NYC/Canada cruises with DCL last year, and absolutely fell in love with the ports we visited. Would love to visit all of them again, in addition to PEI (Green Gables) and Louisbourg! The pre-cruise portion of your report was great, also. My aunt lives in Kittery, and I grew up on the south shore of MA, so all the Boston/Plymouth/Portsmouth/Kittery talk warmed my heart. And DaveinTN is absolutely correct about Niagara-on-the
  14. Congrats! I started last year with the Wine & Dine Half and did the Tink Half in Disneyland last month. Will you guys do the Everest 5K? That looks lots of fun!
