Swimming Pools

Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground offers guests 2 heated swimming pools open year round.

Meadows Swimmin’ Hole

In 2009, the Meadows Swimmin’ Hole at Fort Wilderness was renovated. It is now a zero entry pool with a maximum depth of less than 4’.

A slide was added to the pool, a new splash zone for young kids was built and a hot tub added.

Location: Meadows Recreation area

Pool Hours: 24 hours

Notes: Lounge chairs are provided but towels are NOT provided. Slide is not open 24 hours.

LIFEGUARD HOURS VARY SEASONALLY

Fort Wilderness Trivia: The new slide added to the pool utilized the old water tower that in recent years was found at the entrance to River Country. The tower was refurbished and given a fresh coat of paint and a Fort Wilderness Railroad logo – however contrary to popular belief, the logo was not actually that of the original Fort Wilderness Railroad.
