ADVICE FROM SOME FORT FIEND FISHERMEN:as posted on Fort Fiends .net

"One thing that I have found is that lures don't work well at the fort, I see very few and I mean VERY FEW people catch anything on a lure. "

Live bait seems to work best, but fried chicken skin from Trails End fried chicken and hot dogs also seem to be popular with the Fort fish.

"People might want to know that you are not suppose to fish off the docks or the beach at Clementine Beach, although people do very early in the morning or after dark at night.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

There are alligators in the ponds, lakes and canals around the Fort

"...I have seen one under the dock at my secret fishing spot two years in a row, once came out after my fish and once when an otter went under the dock and flushed him out. "

If you spot an alligator, report it to Fort management immediately.
