  1. My son also has a peanut/tree nut allergy. He also has a soy allergy, which is honestly a lot harder to avoid or weed out since a lot of food has soy and it's not as blatantly obvious. His soy allergy is relatively mild, but still enough so that we try and avoid it as much as possible. The Disney chefs do a great job of accommodating us, but he's developed a pretty high anxiety level when it comes to food so we find ourselves with fewer food options for him every year.
  2. I am in the Air Force, so shooting down TIE Fighters and blowing up space stations, etc.
  3. I've stopped at the Wal-Mart nearby the times I did drive down and I remember it having a pretty large parking lot. And the times I went there were always a ton of spots near the back of the lot.
  4. So, we've been thinking about getting our own golf cart for a while now and, since some Fiends here own their own, I had a few questions before we start looking. Let's pretend, for the sake of convenience, that I know nothing about golf carts or how to buy one (which would be a wholly accurate assumption). -What are some of the main things I need to look for when picking out a cart? -Is there much of a benefit to buying new over used? -What type of maintenance will be required? -What are some of the pitfalls of transporting a golf cart? 5. Thanks to everyone for the kind words! We are planning our next trip for the very end of November/beginning of December, actually! As long as things stay relatively calm over here then hopefully we will be able to make it out!
  6. Hello! New to the board but full of info about the cabins! I'll try not to ramble but I do so love to talk about them! We have been staying in the cabins for the past 4 years and we absolutely love them! I was never interested in visiting DW until 2009 when my wife convinced me to take the family after my first deployment to Afghanistan. Her family stayed at the cabins when she was younger, so she wanted to go back. I was indifferent as I had never been to DW so it was all new to me anyway. I still remember the feeling of pulling up to the Fort and hearing "Welcome home, Crandall family" for
  7. Hello! My name is Jed and I am new here! I stumbled across the board while looking for Fort Wilderness posters/art prints (which there are a painful lack of :banghead: ) and was very excited to see a thriving community of fellow Fort Wilderness lovers! i have been with my family 4 times so far (we are cabin people due to the availability of a full kitchen and my son's food allergies) and we consider it our true home away from home. We are currently stationed in Korea and counting down the days until our return! I am very excited to be part of the board and look forward to sharing our memories
