I've only walked through once or twice when i use to resort hop a lot but have never stayed there. After hearing about your experience its on my do to list now 

This is why i love the trip reports, several friends have stayed there, even said I'd like it because its laid back But the details you get from the reports is what makes me want to take the family and experience it first hand. One day when i grow i'll have to try my hand at a TR

First time staying at the fort booked for the end of March, just had an email today saying our magic bands have been shipped. Seems real now, we've done a couple of days  at the Disney parks before, but this will be the first time staying at the fort. 

Only doing three days this time to see how it goes. Last time we went tent camping was  in England before we moved to Florida so this will be quite different.  Managed to get a few more bits of equipment in the sales, so pretty much set  other than needing to replace the sleeping mat we thew out when we moved.   Don't think we'll be doing much cooking, beyond making tea and coffee. We have reservations for most meals as long as things go to plan.

I've been lurking here for a week or so and the site has been very useful. Decided it was about time I said hello.

Yes kids can walk the tour, they give the adults 2 free samples at the end. Also they have the ferry running now from riverwalk in Downtown Tampa to St. Pete its a fun little boat ride and there's shopping within walking distance from both docks. (Tampa/St. Pete)

That was a great report. I loved following it. It has me even more stoked for my up coming trip to the fort!!

I walked the 2100 loop yesterday and there were no empty sites, I'll try again sun / sat.

I'll try to cruise out to the fort tomorrow / Wednesday.

They're predicting the storm to curve around and come back into central Florida as a tropical storm, but that's too far out to tell as of now.

It's been over 10 years since Central Florida has been in the path of a hurricane.

Back in 2004 and 2005, when the hurricanes were coming through on a regular basis, there were no advanced closures of the magnitude we are seeing for this storm.

I have a hard time believing that the interior part of Central Florida is going to get walloped the way everyone is acting.  I hope I'm right about that.

He could have one under 3 which Disney allows over the room counts. So 6 adults and kids over 3 plus the one under 3.
