I agree with you guys. I have always been a camper and there is no better vacation. I understand there are other places to camp than just the fort, and yes, all are getting pricey. Our other issue was time. There was a time we could get 6-7 camping trips in a year. The past few, we were lucky to get one. Not only was the fort pricing is out, but it was a waste to have the RV at storage 51 weeks a year
I hear you .. even regular campgrounds around here are getting insane with prices .. our storage isn’t too bad at $600 annual but it adds up for sure

That’s sad but I understand the price push . We too are in Tampa area and I have been camping at the Fort going back to the 70’s and $28 per night with my dad and siblings .. we continued the tradition and I am still in disbelief to be paying over $200 per night for our premium site this coming weekend for 7 nights . We usually visit the fort 4 times per year , each trip 5-8 nights .. but it’s adding up .. we’re only doing this next weeks trip because our grandson is on spring break.. not sure if we will do many more this time of year .. we may start to just do a late January trip , late August early September and our annual Halloween late October through early November trip.. cutting our visits down to maybe 2 - 3 trips max. We have been looking for alternatives for price reasons but outside of a KoA the pickings are slim .. sorry to read of your change but fully understand

Waiting as well .. checking in on March 17 just curious if they will serve corned beef at trails end .. lol .. can’t wait to go

Golf cart parade usually has been the day before Halloween the past couple of years . Trick or treating is usually around 6-9 ish
an official activities calendar comes out closer to the week but they have been trying not to advertise the actual Halloween trick or treating on the calendar to help with the crowds
Halloween at the Fort is incredible .. we go every year and always have a blast !!!

We are going for 8 nights around Halloween for our 6th straight year ...just went on a fast trip in August. Previous visits including August we were able to check in on line and request site loops and comfort station proximity preferences . However we just checked in online for our trip in 3 weeks but noticed those options are gone now ? Now you can only specify awning and slides of equipment as well as options that seem more for hotel rooms including choice of floor level ? Is this just a glitch or have they changed ? Is there a better way to request ? Direct number ?
thank you for any info or insight ... we go at least 3-4 times per year and always see the Fort Fiend signs all over
thank you
TJ

I have just two words for this. Starlight Mints.
But we're staying there we want real candy though ??;-)
my wife says the same thing ... cheap candy for them .. wish we could determine the actual Disney guests from freeloaders

Hoping there are just some typos .. we go every year for Halloween .. it's our one big trip we will take besides the little trips and really look forward to it. This we are meeting up with several family members who we have bragged how much fun Halloween is there .. slightly concerned ..
