  1. If it is like Halloween this year.  The Fort management had a site decorating contest The judging was from 6 till midnight . I think it was on the 30th.   Then on the morning of the judging they sent everyone at the fort a hand delivered note saying that you must turn off your Halloween light display at 10 pm per the Quite rules. That upset a lot of the guests. So they are not decorating for Christmas this year.

How do you have Site judging until midnight if your lights must be off at 10pm.

It's like there is nobody in charge at the Fort that has any common sense at all.   When we went to the office to complain no one in the office knew anything about the note that were sent out about the lights. Nor could they find anything about turning off the lights in the '"official Rules" The only thing they could find was where they could be located.

The Idiots in charge pi@@ed of the people that decorate. So you will be seeing fewer decorations.  On the bright side.  When no one decorates you will be able to get a camp site anytime you want.

  2. I drain mine then used compressed air blow it out then add the pink RV antifreeze

I have the water heater bypass so I leave the drain on the water heater open.

Remove the water filters add the antifreeze to the water pump winterize kit. mine takes 6 gallons. I pump the pink stuff threw the system until every thing comes out pink add some extra to the traps. 6 gallons seams like a lot of antifreeze  but most of the antifreeze is in the washing machine and dishwasher

Disconnect the batteries and hook up the battery float chargers to maintain the charge in the batteries so they wont freeze. My RV stays plugged in but if I use the charger/invertor to keep the batteries charged they will run dry from the constant charging over the winter because I will forget to check them. The float charger doesn't run them out of water. The float charger/battery tenders are only $6.00 at Harbor freight. I use 2 of them. 1 on the 2 starting batteries and 1 on the 4 house batteries

  3. Of all the tasty treats you can get at WDW, the turkey legs are the finest. I love the things. I love the grease running down my arm. I love feeling like Fred Flintstone while I eat one. I love the pieces of turkey meat getting caught between my teeth so I can suck them out if I get hungry on Pirates later in the day. I love smacking unruly kids in the head with the bone. I love making noise when I eat them and tearing the meat off like some Neanderthal, making young girls turn away and vomit in disgust. It is everything that makes a man happy to be a man. I would eat them if Bobby doubled the price. 12 bucks is a deal. There has to be 5 lbs of meat on the things. The mark of a true turkey leg connoisseur is the greasy faced smile and the dirty Mickey t shirt he wears from wiping his greasy hands on it.

If you are having turkey leg withdraw. You can get them at Shady Mable grocery at the smoked meats area on the back wall . I think they are around $4-00.

HEAT and EAT.  Doesn't taste like Chicken more like a Ham.

  4. Looks like that one is currently $52.14 at Camping World:  http://www.campingworld.com/shopping/item/adjustable-water-regulator-lead-free/49511

QUESTION:  I read through the owner's manual for our camper (2006 model) and could not find any information on the PSI.  How do I find out what is a safe PSI?

Mine is a 2006 it held the 90 psi

    RV 101 water pressure regulators  ----    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LdkYluhlMMI

  5. This is the best regulator to use. It will give maximum water flow unlike the cheap ones that have a very small port for the water to pass through.

It can be bought from Tweetys.com for $63.80. It is cost a bit more than the cheap ones but it works so much better.

    l$49.99 at amazon

The last time I checked the water pressure in the 700 loop it was over 90psi.

My camper was ok but my drinking water hose had swollen to over 3" in diameter in the heat of the day. I had to go to wally world to get new hose and regulator. I found out those cheep ones suck, very little flow.  I now have the Adjustable high flow valterra

Get a high flow one unless you like Showers with little water flow. If you watch a gauge with the cheep ones it will read 40psi until you turn on the flow then will drop to less than 20 psi The good ones will maintain the higher pressure.

  6.  The Number one thing is----- Stop and Pick me up.-------I will be your tour guide. -----------------Just Kidding.   We will be coming home or just arrived home when your are headed down

Remember don't rush the trip and enjoy the drive down and back.

We usually make it a 2 day trip both ways. We stop at Exit 53 in South Carolina on the way down at the New Green acres Campground for the night. I can leave from Delaware just north of Wilmington at 8am in the morning and get set up there just before dark. It's an easy off and on 95. The sites are pull-thurs and long enough that you don't need to disconnect the truck from the camper. Exit at #53 turn right,  go to next street [about 50 yards} turn right the Campground is 1/4 mile straight ahead.

On the way home we stop at South of the Border. We leave the Fort about 9am and can get parked and set up before dark . Again long sites but no cable plus easy on and off 95. The South of the Border campground is right at the end of the Exit ramp behind the Exxon Station on the left. The rest of the place is kind of seedy so I stay in the campground.  We never had any problems.

Both of these Campgrounds are ok for the night but usually fill up. I call ahead earlier in the day to make sure I have a site.

Florida can be hot 80's and cold 40's in November Take clothes for both.  Make sure your A/c and heaters work and have a full tank of propane if that's what your heaters use. Trust me on this in November 2012 right after Hurricane Sandy it was "COLD" at Disney I had to go buy sweat shirts and jackets. The highs were only in the 50's the lows were around 30.

  7. my former cart was an ezgo with the box but i changed it for a rear seat with seat belts for the kids total cost for the seat kit was $350.00 and the seat belt kit with 2 seat belts was less than $25.00. The total time to change over was just over 1 1/2 hours from box to seat. The seat was a fold down style and the box fits on the folded over seat with 2 bolts to hold the box to the seat when I needed it. Now it only takes about 5 minutes to install the box .

here is the seat i used.

  8. Going South We usually stop at exit 53 in South Carolina and stay at the new green acres rv park. Exit at 53 turn to the right and make next right it's about 1/4 mie to the enterance of the campground. The sites are pull thru and long enough that I dont have to unhook the toad. The campground is on par with south of the boarder. it's ok for the night but I wouldn't stay there for a week.

We leave cecilton MD at 8am and pull in there around 6pm. The next day it just 5 1/2 to 6 hours to disney world.

Going north we stop at south of the border.

when are you going? We check in at The Fort on the 6/16
