Does anything special happen at the Fort to ring in the New Year?

Trip #3 in a month!

success!!! Was able to get a cancellation for Friday night. I think we are addicted!

We could only get an RV site at the fort for 12/31 and 1/1. We have been calling every morning and now reaching out to the fiends for suggestions or possible cancellations.

Just to close the loop on this thread.....we went to Registration and they very nicely gave us a parking pass to put in the window of the TT. We just let them know what site we were vacating and what date we were coming back.

Once again, everyone has been very nice.

Trip #2 to the Fort....

• Brought our 27 year old and 17 year old daughters this time
  
• rented a cart from TeeTime - of course we decorated it!
  
• Last minute reservations to Hoop Dee Doo - Hokey but something everyone has to do once
  
• Pool time at the fort
  
• Pool time at the contemporary
  
• Downtown Disney for last minute Christmas shopping
  
• Daughter amazed at comfort station-not like the camping she remembers when she was young when you had to put brown paper bags on the floor to step on when you got out of the shower!
  
• Trails End dinner buffet
  
• looping
  
• NO PARKS! - I didn't think we could do it but it was agreed upon that we were going to relax
  
• Fireworks from the Polynesian beach
  
• Surprised how quiet it was...aka not very busy
  
• Great memories continue to be made
  
• Coming back on 12/30 with older daughter for New Years!
  

We are leaving the Fort today but will be back next Friday. Any way we can leave our TT in the lot and if so, who do we speak to? Thanks!

Just got home from our first trip to the Fort and we are hooked! We took advantage of someone having an extra site and what a perfect weekend it was. Here are some highlights:

• Site 1459 - What a perfect loop for a group camping together. Our site was very private, full pad, very close to the Campfire activities
  
• We tried to rent a golf cart off-site but we were too late. Instead we rented on-site
  
• Got up for a run and my cool down was an early morning hop aboard the boat going to the Contemporary and back. Mist on the water and the quiet were so peaceful.
  
• The cart parade on Saturday night was amazing. Kudos to the guy who had the gingerbread house.
  
• The gentleman who built the castle synchronized to Magic Kingdom music and Wishes fireworks was so great with the kids when we went looping on Saturday night
  
• The decorations were more than I could have imagined
  
• Saw the taping of the Christmas show at MK
  
• Rode our bikes this morning all over the Fort. Explored areas that golf carts can't go
  

Great weekend and we already booked two more weekend trips in the near future!
