I tried to get reservations for Dec 28, 2013 for a week for a premium and only could get Dec 27 & 28 for a preferred. He said that only tents were available on Dec 29. And that you can not book pass the 499 days. I thought that the 499 was the day you could book out a week or two. Is this right? Also, does it make sense that the premium are booked already? I carried 2 kayaks to florida with a front hitch with the "extend a truck" and thule rack. Works really well. Did not have any problems. You may want to check out this site:

I took I-95 to 50 before. I know it is out of the way but you miss most of Orlando.

For another route, we always take I-65 thru Alabama to rt 231 to I-10 then I-75. It is a little longer but less traffic and NO Altanta. It may not work for you.

We have stayed at Ocala Rv Camp Resort like BR6013 has suggested. It is about 1 1/2 hrs to Disney. You can walk to Cracker Barrell. Also, there is a Sam's Club near by.
