  1. Yay!  An update!

The pool are at the Poly looks awesome.  We are planning to do the WL next summer - have you stayed there before?

I have stayed at Wilderness Lodge back in 1999 and more recently in the Villas.  The pool is very nice and the rooms are beautiful.

  2. Oh cool, that's exactly our itinerary.  So, I will be anxiously awaiting your trip report.  Have a wonderful time and we'll watch you depart on the webcam!  We'll be at a party, but I hope to catch you leave.  Bon Voyage :jumpforjoy

We did the Western Itinerary in December.  Should be much better in July.  The weather was a little chilly for sitting at the beach.  My main concerns of the Western cruise.  1.  Port of calls are way too short.  You can not get off the boat till late and then have to be back on early.  Tendering at Grand Cayman is a PITA.  I felt rushed and felt like I lost my whole day getting on and off the boat.

    However, I loved the cruise.

Oh, and we already have brunch reservation at Palo.  We've been there for dinner on the Magic but never brunch.  Heard it was very good.

The brunch is the best meal.  The selection is awesome and I think it a lot better than Dinner.

  3. OK, here's a serious one- I would like to hear about Remy and Palo.

    Mainly Remy.

I think we would like to eat there, but I am not sure if it is too crazy for us.

Also, I have never seen a clear answer about whether you are supposed to tip the servers in addition to the upcharge you pay to eat there.  We have dined at Palo on previous cruises, and I have always tipped in addition to the upcharge.  That adds up to a tidy sum, and would be even more at Remy.

I can answer for Palo.  We always tip the waiter a little extra when we have gone to Palo.  I think there are a lot of people that do not tip above the surcharge.  I do not think it is stated on any of Disney's sites.

  4. I just back from a a quick day Hershey Park in PA.  As I posted when I was in the Park on my FB Account, that I now understand why I like Disney so much.  Although the Cast Members may not want to be there, Most of them do not show that.  They do whatever they can to make the day/vacation magical in anyway.  At Hershey, it felt like they were being made to do it, did not care.  I liked some of the Thrill Rides at Hershey, and my DD3 loved some of the kiddie rides, but the demeanor of the staff just did not make me feel wanted.

  5. Gonna check it out - thanks Jim!

I'm actually going through our doggie first aid kit this weekend and restocking.

With 3 border collies that have no sense of self preservation, a well stocked kit is a must.  8)

Mo - I definitely understand what you mean about the Border Collies.  We have 2 (1 and 11 years old).  They do not care if they are hurt, they will keep on going till you physically have to stop them.

  6. I agree with others that making use of electronics have helped us out a lot.  We are try to drive a lot during the night.  We have been to Disney with our 3 year old 8 times so far and we drive from NC every time.  Once in a while we break the trip with a stop, but most of the time we drive straight through.

Your stops will be longer then you are used to, but it is nice to walk around a little bit or just sit and relax and not be in the vehicle.

  7. I think those pictures are awesome.  My DD thinks it is normal to go to Disney a few times a year.  She is 3 and has been to WDW 8 times, 9 & 10 scheduled, On a Disney Cruise and been to Disneyland.  It helps that with work I sometimes travel to Orlando so that helps and same thing with the Disneyland trip.  Most of my expenses and some of theirs were covered by my work.  We are also members of DVC.

  8. OK, I'm going to get to work on an update, which will post later today.

In the meantime, let me explain why we have had a bit of a delay:

    The TCD twins graduated yesterday!

I love this photo.  It's them with their principal and the class valedictorian and another one of their good friends.

The twins go to a good sized high school with 2000+ students, but the principal knows them and loves the twins:

The girl on the far left is one of their good friends and was valedictorian.  She is heading off to Johns Hopkins, and will undoubtedly go far in life.

She roomed with the twins when they went to the National HOSA competition last year, which was at the Coronado Springs Resort at WDW.  The twins took her and the girl on the right under their wings, and showed them how to do Disney.  The girls have repeatedly thanked them for having one of the best days of their life.

It is a strange thing to me for the girls to know and like their principal.  I considered it a great accomplishment that I never met my high school principal.

With that out of the way, the TR shall resume momentarily.

Congratulations to the Twins! They are both going to great schools.  I know you are proud of them and you should be.  You should also be proud on how well you and Mrs TCD raised them.

  9. I know nothing about Star Wars but I really thought the Storm Troopers didn't talk! Learn something new every day!

So was there potties for the over night nerds to use?

They actually let those waiting bring chairs and use the bathroom inside the park.   They then let the people know that at a certain time they have to bring the chairs and stuff back to their cars.  They also make an announcement when the last chance to use the bathroom is.  They have to close the turnstiles at some point before the Normal people show up.

  10. Looks like it's working again.

The site's been having sporadic hiccups like this since moving to the new server.  Seems like they're getting less and less (fingers crossed!) - hopefully that means things are settling down.  :)

That is what I figured.  Contacted Kenny through his website.  Hopefully will hear from him soon.
