Let’s get this thing moving this morning. We will move on to the Master Bedroom. This is the same whether it is a 1 or 2 Bedroom.

We were on the side with the Skybridge.
This is the area that they show the movie. You can see the chairs along the bushes.
View of the main Contemporary Pool.
This pool is open 24 Hours.
Water Sprites and during the day most of them out.

Will continue in next post. -
Even though I've seen the BLT building many times, these photos just drove home the fact that the rooms don't have balconies.
That makes the building look sleek, but if I was staying in one of those rooms, I'd like to be able to go outside and really enjoy the view. Like you can from the Contemporary Resort tower rooms.
TCD
I have not gotten to the balconies yet. Each Studio has a Balcony and a 1-Bedroom has 1 Balcony, you can get to it from the Living Room or the Master Bedroom.
That door you see with the shade is the door to the balcony from the living room.
So a 2-Bedroom will have 2 balconies. One off the Master/Living Room and 1 off the 2nd Bedroom, whether it is a studio/just a 2nd bedroom.
-
So is the two bedroom a single unit, or was it a 1-bedroom, with a studio adjoining?
This was a Dedicated 2-Bedroom, so 1 - Single Unit.
The 1-Bedroom with a studio adjoining is called a Lock-Off 2-Bedroom.

I like the art work. It sure does look spacious. How did it feel when all 8 of you were in there at the same time?
Well, it was roomy, but it helped that 4 of them were small. When we were all eating it was tight, the bench only sits around 5 and then there were 2 seats at the Island, but no one really sat there. The part of the table by the island we put the 1 1/12 year old in the high chair. So there were people standing around and making the food. Even when we had guests come in one night, there were 6 adults and 4 kids, we still had room, people just ate at the seats in the living room (Adults) kids had to eat at the table. They made enough mess just eating at the table.
Great photos!
The unit looks spacious, but I'm not a big fan of the furniture- it looks like it came from Ikea. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but I would expect something more high end for what it costs to stay there.
The artwork is cool, though.
And, I love the view! (except for the Four Seasons).
TCD
Love that view!
But I agree with TCD on the furniture....I'm not a fan of the "feel" of those rooms. Although I'm not a fan of the feel at the Contemporary either, so that makes sense. But that's the nice thing about WDW....there's something for everyone.
The furniture was specially designed for Disney, however, as both of you alluded to, it was uncomfortable. Sitting at the table or even on the floor was more comfortable than the chairs and the couch. Although it was designed to try to keep the cushions in place, it did not work very well. We had to keep pushing them back in or for the chair, take the back cushion off, then push the bottom cushion back into place. I would rather have had more function than form, but I understand what they are trying to do. I was on vacation, not living there so I was ableto put up with up for the week.
I will give a full review at the end of the pictures of all my thoughts of BLT.

One last update for today. Hopefully I will be able to get the living room done with this update.
Coach and Chair
Closer look at the picture above the couch (I really like it, some disagree with me) (I like the fact that it has Disney stuff in it, but it is not right in your face (Like Art of Animation)
Just the couchOttoman actually holds the pillows and blankets for the couch and chair (Not pictured yet) that pull out into beds.
Just the chair

And that is it of the living room and the dining area. -
It looks like it is time to move on to the Kitchen.
Main view of kitchen
A 1 Bedroom and 2 Bedroom (Those with Kitchen and a Living Room), come with a Coffee Maker, Toaster, Dishwasher, Full Fridge, Microwave and an oven. It also comes with plates, silverware and glasses. It comes with a sponge and other cleaning supplies.
Closer look at the Microwave and Oven
Toaster and Coffee Maker
Oven and Pantry (The handle you see pulls out a nice size pantry where you can get stuff from either side.
Island, this contains the silverware and pots and pans. Silverware in the upper drawers and the pots and pans in the big cabinet.
From the side where the pantry is.
Sink, which has a garbage disposal
Cabinets

And that is it for the kitchen. -

The 1 and 2 Bedroom units have an extra Full Bathroom off of the living room, this post will show it.
Living Room Bathroom
Shower
Sink
Mirror (Could not get a picture without me in it)
More of Sink
That is it for the bathroom pictures. Fairly simple, but with a group of 8, it was nice having an extra bathroom.

Well, this is fun looking around with you. ^-^
Thanks
More, more, more, more, more. please.
More will be coming soon
Looks good so far
Thanks
Looks really nice!
Thanks
I can tell from where your room was that I'm going to love the view!!!
The view is nice, but if you think 4 Seasons messes up the view at the Fort, just wait.
So far so good.
Thanks
Looking forward to see these pictures, since I will never see it person.
Never say never. I never thought I would stay in it either.

Let’s finally get into the room.

Will stop here with this post. Will do front bathroom, then start go living room, kitchen, Master Bedroom, Second Bedroom. -
I am back and most pitcures are uploaded except for the Photopass pictures.
I will be starting the Actual Trip Report with pictures after I get the Photopass pictures.
However, I have started to post pictures of Bay Lake Tower on the Resort Photos Thread. Figured they would be better there. I will post some of them here in this trip report.
http://www.fortfiends.net/forum/topic/13581-bay-lake-tower/
That is the link to the other thread.
-
There was some interest in pictures of Bay Lake Tower from my trip Report. Rather than having people have to go to my trip report, I will post my pictures and thoughts on this thread. This way it will be in the resorts thread, not a trip report.
It looks like there are 180 pictures from Bay Lake Tower. I will most likely not post everyone.
If you would like to see all of them, please let me know and I can send you the photobucket link with the password.

A lot more pictures to follow. -
I will have some up soon. Working on BLT Pictures first.

Looks like the big resorts have a bus persob. They can call and find out where the buses are.

(Rant) Wow, waiting in line and a woman is bitching at he husband because she has to wait a few minutes to wait for am ecv to load. I am sorry that she is so inconvenienced and has no one in her life that does not need an ecv. I wanted to tell her to be quiet, but refrained. Yes, I want to get back to the resort, but everyone deserves to be at Disney and am glad that they make in convenient for everyone to go. (End rant)

Sitting at the Comtemporary right now. Waiting for our room to get ready and for the rest of the group to come back from DHS. I dropped them off and then came back to the hotel to get ice in the cooler and drop off some bags with Bell services. We will be going to the pool once they get back, which they are on their way. I really hope that the room gets ready quickly, but I am not excpecting it ready till 4:00.
DW went and got tickets for the sing-a-long along with out FP+ in the afternoon for Toy Story, Disney Junior/Star Tours and Indiana Jones today. The kids should be worn out. We still need to go the grocery store to get food for the week.
-
Just checked into our final hotel for the trip. We can now start being organized. I will be the taxicab this morning transporting the in-laws around. I actually offered, so not an issue.
-
Other then not realizing the time the MK opened, the day could not have started out better. We went to go see Belle. I was picked as a suit of armor and my DD was picked as the Beast. She got to dance with Belle.
-
For and added on day at the beginning of the trip today was very busy, We got up early and had breakfast at the hotel. We then headed to DHS. We had about an hour to wait. When we entered we got stopped by a person wearing a Tower of Terror uniform. She asked if my DD wanted to help welcome Anna and Elsa from Arendell. We said YES. We followed what everyone said and I went and got tickets for the 12:30 sing-a-long. We went to the trading post and got to play with snow, I built a small snowman. We then went and brought my DD to ice skate for the first time.
After that we bought her an Else Magic Band, yes I am one of those people.
We did the Parade, she had a blast, then the sing-a-long. We came back to AoA and went to the pool. Got our room and took a nap, went to KFC and came back to relax.
I will recap later with pictures, a lot of pictures.
Tomorrow is MK with Anna and Elsa. We will also be riding the Mine Train for the first time.

Safe travels!
Thanks, the drive was fairly easy. A little traffic in Jacksonville, but that is what you get when you drive through it at 5:00. Then the rain that we had to drive through on I-4 was not nice.
Can't wait to read more. BLT is one of our home resorts - I LOVE being able to walk to the Magic Kingdom, in no time at all! I really hope your lake view isn't the one looking straight into other people's rooms.
Walking to MK is one of the things I am looking for, especially after Thursday night. I also hope we are not looking into other people rooms.
Have a great evening at the MK!
Thanks, we had a real good time, except for trying to swim with all the Salmon at the time that we left.
I'm in. Have a great trip - looking forward to hearing more!
Thanks, once we get settled more into BLT on on Sunday should be able to keep things going.
That's awesome! The show they do during the processional is cute, and she will have a perfect view!
If you haven't done so already, to over to the Streets of America and get a return card for the sing-a-long. They should have all times available now. If you wait too long, there will be fewer, and eventually no options. Only one of you needs to run over there to pick up cards for the whole party.
Also Twin #2 had an opening shift at Wandering Oaken's Trading Post this morning- stop in and see if you can find her- she's probably going to be gone by 2 or 3 this afternoon.
TCD
Looked for twin #2, once when we originally went in and the second time after I saw your post. Never saw her, but it was busy.

All those people are staying in a 2 bedroom?
Yes, we have a king in one room, two doubles in the other room, plus a pull out couch and a pull out chair. The kids will either stay in the extra bed with the 2 queen beds. There are 2 1/2 bath so those that are sleeping in the living room can use the bath in the living room.
I'm in! Enjoy your trip!
Thanks
The real question is does this BLT have mayo?
Mayo, but will need to get some.
I love the BLT - both the resort and the sandwich! So I'm definitely in! Y'all be careful traveling and report in when you can.
Will try to report in when I can.
Im in!
And now I want a BLT to eat, thanks for that.
Thanks for joining and BLT's are yummy. We had them the other night.
While he drives shall we hijack with mayo or miracle whip?
Mayo
When we had a 2 bedroom at AKL (it was an unexpected upgrade!) that thing was so massive the Brady Bunch could have fit in there with us.
If you think those rooms are big, you should out Old Key West, those rooms are huge.
I'm in!
Thanks for joining
I'm in!
We have stayed at BLT twice now and will be doing a Fort(5)/BLT(9)split stay in January/February.
We stay in a one bedroom lake view. FYI, many of the lake view rooms are actually lake view/theme park views. Those would be even room numbers ending in 2 thru 12. Those are on the outside of the horseshoe on the north side.
We have watched wishes from our balcony several times with the music playing on one of the resort TV channels.
If you are wondering about what other views/room request options there are, feel free to post something here or PM me your number and I will be glad to talk to you more about it.
I have some room pics and view pics in the 2nd and 3rd trip reports in my signature.
Thanks for giving people the heads up. We are definitely hoping for one that is both a MK and Lake View.
The king size bed at BLT is the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in, hands down. My husband and I still talk about it, and that was three years ago!
Enjoy your trip!
I would have to agree, when we stayed there last August it was very comfortable.

Wishing you safe travel and a wonderful trip!
Thanks
Hope you have a great time Jon!
Thanks
Have fun!
Thanks
Have a great trip!!
Thanks
Sounds like a great vacation. Have fun!
Thanks
Have a great time.
Be prepared for the long walk from the AOA lobby to the Little Mermaid Building. There's a lot to look at along the way, but it's a long walk. You're only there for a couple of nights, so you'll be fine. It will make BLT seem that much greater.
TCD
Thanks for the heads up. We decided to drive the car over to the main building when we need to take the bus.
Have a great trip!
Thanks!
I believe this is the first time I've posted on p.1 of a TR (pause for fanfare music). And I did so to say, I like your title since every time someone posts about BLT, I think of food. Hope you have a wonderful trip.Congrats
Sounds like a fun trip!
Thanks!
I'm in and on page one.
Have a great trip. Please post some pix of your condo at BLT. It's on our short list of resorts to stay at.
I will definitely post pictures.
-
Being early has its benefits. My DD was just asked to join in the processional for Anna and Elsa. We gladly accepted. I will walk with her and my DW got a VIP pass to the viewing area.

Leaving MK on the ferry. This ferry is using the new dock. There is another ferry docked in the other one. Picture to follow once I get it off my phone.

Continuation of Master Bedroom and Balcony
Looking directly below off the balcony
Balcony
This one you can see the door that goes into the living room area.
Desk area, what is odd about this desk is that there are NO drawers on it. It does have 3 plugs for charging.
TV Area along with desk. The storage space is the 4 drawers, plus a drawer in the black thing under the mirror on the left. That is also a place to a suitcase.
View from inside the room looking out towards the balcony
Bathroom Door (Which are pocket doors). Most of the doors in BLT seem to be pocket doors.
When BLT first came out, there complaints that there no locks on the bathroom doors. Definitely a concern. Looks like they fixed that.
View of Closet doors
Looking into Master Bath
Main Sink area. Yes, it Is a mess, was taken after a week of living. One thing to note, most of the DVC’s if I remember correctly have 2 sinks. This one only has one.
Spa Tub, yes those jets feel nice, especially when you do not want to walk downstairs. Tubs are bigger in most other Resorts.
Picture above Spa Tub
Shower
Yes, it is a Rain Shower
Shower Faucet
Picture in Toilet, Shower area.
Toilet
Shelf that held the towels above toilet
Closet with safe
That ends the master bedroom and bath.
