  1. sorry I know I'm getting needy but we are trying to figure some plans out. We have breakfast at CRT at 1015. Park opens at 9 (not a magic hour day). I wasnt able to get BBB ressies but was told about a face painting booth in tommorrowland. I have been told if you tell the CM at the gate you have breakfast at CRT you can get in early. How early do you think we can get in so we can try to be 1st in line at that booth and make it back to the castle to take pics before our ressies? Thanks

ps I'll try to stop with the annoying questions soon. :)

  2. As others have said, over loading your vehicle is not a fun or safe situation. Having been one who dumped a ton of money trying to make a TV work with my trailer, I can tell you I never saw a penny of that money back in trade in. I lost thousands trying to make it work instead of taking that money and applying it to the TV I ended up buying anyways. That said, there are things that can be done here. You are showing us that the pop up is not your ultimate goal, you want something bigger, may be a hard sided TT or a class c per your posts. (by the way hummers are not good TV either). I would invest in an older used TV and an older used TT or just get an older used class C. Start with this as you discover what it is that works for you. you won't have a large financial hit and you can get more along the lines of what you want. Also, most will trade their trailer, motorhome etc several times before finding the Floorplan and size that really works for their needs and wants.

  3. that will probably be too much trailer for you. Between the dry weight being within 1000 lbs of your max tow capacity and the large frontal area of a hard sided trailer, you will be looking for a new tow vehicle sooner than later. That trailer will easily weigh close to 3000 lbs loaded giving you 390-490 lbs tongue weight. It also has a large frontal surface area. This will feel like you are towing a giant sail behind you. Having been in a situation of having too much trailer for the tow vehicle, I can tell you I will never be there again. let me share with you how that feels.... any vehicle passing (car, SUV, semi, etc) will push you all over the road. You will have the tail wagging the dog sensation and fight with white knuckle to keep it on the road. The engine will scream at any little hill let alone a big hill or mountain. Then there is the lack of controlling the trailer coming back down the hill. After not having enough truck to control my TT coming down a 7% grade using every trick learned in 20 yrs towing horses, I had enough. my families safety and my sanity were worth. the upgrade to the new to us tow vehicle.

  4. ok to expand on the what can I tow issue, here are a couple of thoughts. first and foremost, the majority of rv salesmen will try to convince you that odyssey could tow a 35 ft travel trailer if they thought they could make the sale. Do not ever believe the salesman when he says "yes you can tow that". ANd sadly, I'm far from the only person that fell for the weight run around. The biggest way they do this is by showing you dry/unloaded brochure weights. Throw those numbers out the window. You will never tow a dry or unloaded pup. you will put things in it or on it (ie dishes, linens, maybe some bikes, whatever). These things really do add up and add weight. The dry weight doesn't include batteries or propane either. You are better off shopping by gvwr of the pup. The same thing goes for tongue weight. The tongue (hitch) weight increases as the pup gets loaded. anything placed in front of the wheels adds tongue weight, behind the wheels off loads the tongue. Too much weight in the rear and not enough weight in the front can and will cause a sway condition. I'm not sure of the optimal tongue weight percentage in a pup. I know for a TT it is 13-15% of loaded TT weight, a 5er has a pin weight of 20-25% of loaded weight. I never had a pup so I need someone with more knowledge to step in there.

now to your odyssey. To figure out what you can tow, you do need to understand that anything you put in or on a vehicle decreases its payload. Tongue weight must be included in that payload as it puts weight on the vehicle. Once you look through your owners manuals and verify that your odyssey is equipped to tow (or you ave equipped it with after market transmission cooler, trailer brake etc) and you ave learned the Odysseys gvwr, gcwr and what it's receiver is rated for, you need to load the odyssey up with all people, pets, and gear that will be in the odyssey when towing plus a full tank of fuel and go weigh it. you can weigh it at a www.catscale.com take the scaled weight and subtract it from the Odysseys gcwr to get an adjusted towing capacity. take the scaled weight and subtract it from the Odysseys gvwr to get your available payload. The loadec weight of pup (can substitute gvwr here) must be less than the adjusted towing capacity. The loaded tongue weight must be less than your available payload and less than the hitch weight and/or receiver weight limits. Check to see if the odyssey is ok to use a weight distribution hitch. If yes, identify at what tongue weight you need a wdh. Hope I haven't totally confused you.

  5. I booked through AAA and had them request the 1300 loop. should I fax it as well? Also if you do online check in does it tell you your site at that time? how early can you do on line check in? we will be checking in Sat Aug 10. Also is this a rough day to try and get my site early? We will probably be there around 11-12 as we will be spending the night somewhere in Jacksonville or southern ga. Thanks.

  6. Buy a buffing compound and an electric buffer. Wash with whatever wash you want (awesome works ok).  Apply buffing compound with a microfiber sponge.  Finish with maquires spray on wax.  It took us all weekend but we were able to get some impressive results (2 yrs worth of backed on black streaks removed!)

If anyone is interested, my neighbor who helped me with this is a mobile auto detailer and will travel to wash/wax your RV in NC (Chapel hill to burlington areas).  Message me if interested.

  7. so my in-laws are staying off property while we are at disney. They will have park tickets of their own and be registered as guests to our site. Will they be able to utilize the magic hours? Also how does disney know if anyone still in the park for magic hours are guests at disney resorts or not? I know the morning ones its a matter of what time they let you in, but what about the night-time ones? Also what do I eed to bring to get in for AM magic hours? Thanks

  8. also I have heard if you have a reservation at cinderella's castle you don't even have to show a ticket to get into the park. is this true? if so does that mean we could get away with staying in the park all day without burning a ticket day?

  9. ok so I have another question about bibbidi bobbidi boutique. We are planning on booking the crown pkg for my dd. it looks like it doesn't include a tiara. does anybody know if they sell tiaras there and if so how much and what do they look like? ie are they the cheap costume crowns or the pretty classy rhinestone crowns? Am I allowed to bring in a tiara for them to use? if I bring my own tiara is the little comb style better or the traditional kind that has a head band type style better? Will they customize a hairstyle or does it have to be exactly what they picture..... ie I want DD to have hair partially up with the long sweeping curls but no ugly hairpiece. Also will they redo makeup if you hate it? I have seen pretty makeup and horrible trampy makeup when I google pics. I don't want to end up spending a lot of money to get something I despise. I know I sound picky and needy but just like every other little girl, this is a dream for her and I want it to be as close to perfect as reasonably feasible. thanks again.
