We stayed at Pinecrest on the way home from the Fort last year. It wasn't a bad place. The driveway was gravel but the sites were concrete pads. Office people were friendly and the restrooms and laundry area were clean. The area didn't seem bad but nowdays it's hard to tell.

I just spoke with him about 10 minutes ago and made a reservation for our upcoming trip on 6/9 - 6/19.

Thanks everyone for the replies and the kind welcome. We will be headed towards the Fort this next Saturday and our 7 days/6 nights at the Fort starts next Sunday. This will be our 2nd time at Disney but our 1st time to take the 5er, everyone can hardly wait. I'm sure this upcoming week at work will seem to take forever to get through. :drool1:

We are heading to the Fort for the 1st time with our 5er and are looking for a place to stop on the way down. We will be coming from Dallas, TX via I-10 and hope to spend Saturday night somewhere around Tallahassee or closer to the Fort. Any recommendations?
