  1. So lets say someone had a golf cart that has been converted to a LSV (low speed vehicle) which means in addition to all the safety equipment it now also has a tag. Still looks exactly like a golf cart. Do you think there would be any issue using it in the Fort if the tag is removed?

Providing it is operated at less the 20 mph of course.

Do you think they would notice the tag bracket or would it need to come off too?

    Any thoughts?

  2. Oh how far we have come. I remember as a kid getting a pistol from the pirates gift shop. You would put a cork ball in it (included) and one cap under the hammer. There was a tiny hole under where the cap went that went back behind the barrel. When you pulled the trigger it went off like a cap gun but actually fired the cork. No red tips on the barrels back in those days..

  3. I have one, you can drop a whole apple in it and it will liquefy the entire thing. Not even a remnant of a seed. Most powerful blender I have ever used. Unfortunately for the cost I don't think I use it enough.

  4. The only other RV dealer in Broward is Northtrail on Griffin, just north of the Bass Pro shops.  Unfortunately they only do service for customers who buy from them and not very much of that.  Their waiting list is often months.  I have had to learn how to fix things myself because it is very difficult to find someone who can do it.  If you can post pictures of your problem maybe I can help a little more.  Water leaks are easy to fix but delamination is not.

On my second one from North Trail, very busy service schedule unless you are taking delivery.

A 36-year-old Davenport man died today after a Lamborghini in which he was riding lost control at the Richard Petty Driving Experience at Walt Disney World.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the driver failed to maneuver the high-powered sports car through one of the course's curves, and the vehicle's right side struck a guardrail.

The passenger was pronounced dead at the scene, according to FHP's Sgt. Kim Montes.

The male driver was taken to Celebration Hospital with minor injuries.

Neither the driver nor the passenger were identified.

The incident took place at about 3:30 p.m. at the Exotic Driving Experience at Walt Disney World Speedway, according to the FHP report. The track is operated by Petty Holdings, which has other Exotic Driving Experience attractions at speedways in Atlanta, Daytona Beach, Charlotte, New Jersey, Kansas, New Hampshire and Texas. A spokeswoman for Petty Holdings didn't return a phone call.

The Richard Petty Driving Experience, where fans can drive NASCAR cars or ride shotgun at speeds up to 165 mph, opened in 1997. Four years ago, Petty Holdings introduced the exotic-car experience, where people can drive Ferraris, Lamborghinis and Porsches. The driving packages start at $99 and go past $2,500 for a 50-lap experience with an in-car video.

The speedway lies south of the Magic Kingdom parking lot and west of World Drive.

The attraction at Walt Disney World is scheduled to close on June 28 to make way for transportation improvements. There is also a Richard Petty Driving Experience at Daytona International Speedway in Dayton Beach.

The high-speed attraction is named for Richard Petty, 77, an iconic figure in NASCAR history with seven NASCAR Cup titles, seven Daytona 500 victories and a record 200 victories, including 27 in one season.

He is now the point man for Richard Petty Motorsports, a team in the Cup series — the highest level of NASCAR competition. He is a 2010 inductee into the NASCAR Hall of Fame and was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 1992.

Unassuming and one of the most approachable sports personalities of this generation, Petty is regularly accessible during most NASCAR race weekends, easy to spot in his signature sunglasses and cowboy hat.

The crash remains under investigation, according to the FHP.

  6. Great info so far! Im coming up from Ft Lauderdale so not far at all. I'll be picking up the RV right from Kissimmee so mileage won't be an issue plus I get to take our mini-van with all of our stuff etc.

I am also in the Fort Lauderdale area. I had a travel trailer for a few years. Found that it was not as convenient to just go up when I wanted too. Also was restricted by the number of passengers I could fit in the truck. In November I rented from Cruise America behind the airport and we drove up in a class C. Came home, traded in the TT and now have a Class A.

Have been out with it almost every weekend since. Back to the Fort twice already.. Be Careful, you will become addicted.

  7. Well I guess we're getting there. Just came back from the store and the back gate has MB readers and of course the card did not work. Never got a note saying it was being changed so we had to buzz the guard to get in. Also there is a note on the 100/200 CS saying starting on the 27th that access for 100/200 and 300 will be by MB only. We shall see.

Back gate? Are you talking about the entrance the buses use just past the overflow? I thought the only gate we could come in and out through is the main one with the guard shack. Are guests allowed to use another entrance?
