Warren, im so sorry about your wife. I cant even begin to imagine. As a wife and mom I can say id want my husband and kids to live life and be happy. Im proud of you for taking this trip.

I keep a scentsy burner in my camper....i am female. Gotta have the smelly stuff. Plus they have scents like baked apple pie and pumpkin spice.

We enjoyed our meal here, love the fried ckn and greens.

We've never had a bad experience here. We love it!

We always do rope drop.  I like to get it done and get out of the parks before it gets to crowded.

Home from Williamsburg.  Had a great trip with PolyPix and JustBeachy.  We had such a good time and the kids got along great.  Hate we missed gettysburg but maybe we can get up there this fall.

Camper is packed.  You guys have fun in gettysburg, hate to miss you guys.  Maybe we can try again in the fall.  Safe travels everyone.

I have booked at Williamsburg at Newport News.  It's a big place and I think they still have a few sites if anyone wants to come down.  I am so sorry this didn't work out.  I am just sick about it, really.  I hope those who stick it out end up having beautiful weather and a wonderful time!  How can you not?:wiz: 

{sigh} now to call my dad.  Fingers crossed...

Are you booked at Newport News Park in Newport News, VA? We've been there many times as our daughter lives in the area. Just be careful of the ticks - they have been terrible the last couple of years. Stay on the paved areas and out of the brush and you should be fine. We love the park but had so much trouble with ticks on our dogs (because they like to go digging in the brush) that we now stay at American Heritage in Williamsburg.

After much consideration we also have decided for sure to book williamsburg.  It's not quite as far for us and since the weather is up in the air at gettysburg i think it would be best.  We will get to gettysburg soon i hope. We were really looking forward to meeting everyone. :banana:

We will be at American Heritage in Williamsburg starting Saturday for the week. If this is where you booked hope to see you there. I think we will be in site 30.

Oh my, what to do?  Anyone in for williamsburg?  I guess driving between 6 to 7 hours to play in the rain doesn't sound appealing to my dh.  Williamsburg looks like it might be sunny and nice.  I want to be with fiends, oh how i was looking forward to meeting all of you but its such a long drive to endure all the rain.  This sucks!

Rob, I enjoyed pop,  Room might be a tad smaller than port orleans but the atmosphere for kids was great.  They will like the pool.

Oh, you take your kids to Disney? I thought you just did the wild women weekends. Oh that's right, you did bring them once. ONCE.

I occasionally treat them to something special.

Just getting caught up on the thread.  I will bring some activities for the kiddos.  I have 3 girls.  I will bring oreo dessert and potato salad and prob something else to the potluck.  Has a time been set for that?  Am i missing anything?
