  1. You are correct, no golf cart. Bikes or buses for us this time at least.

Probably a no on the dog park as well. The little old man has a bum leg so he tends to be a little defensive and our rescue boy is still pretty timid. Leash walks will be the norm and we have a play pen so they can have some unleashed outside time.

  2. We are getting ready to book our first FW trip for June and we will be bringing the fuzzy children with us. 2 poms, one is our little old man dog and his 2-3 yr old rescue buddy. We are running with a tight budget so we have ruled out the extra expense of a premium site but would be willing to do a preferred. Other than the location is the premium pet loop worth the bump? Our non fuzzy boy is coming too and the 1600-1900 loops look good for being closer to a pool, although I'm not sure which pool it is. Thoughts? Suggestions? Helpful hints? I will also accept positive affirmations and random cyber hugs. We are rolling in a 30 ft TT with a half slide and an awning if that makes a difference.

    Thanks!

  3. We were really torn between buying a TT or a pop up but after much debate we decided that a trailer would work better for us. My husband did a lot of research before trading in his Mustang for a vehicle that would have a better tow rating than my Edge. We could have done a pop up with the Edge (I love my Edge btw, trading it was NOT an option) and ended up with Clifford the big red truck (F150 V6 with Ecoboost). Yes, we name our cars. Mine is Ju Ju Bee. Anywho, once we knew what we could tow we trolled craigslist and found a 2006 TT that was a perfect fit for us, and was the same year and model we had seen at a dealer for about $4000 more. It was in better shape than the dealer, it worked with the financing we had lined up and now Dory is ours. It is older so we knew going in that we would need to invest a little more $ at first, took it for a complete systems check and got all new tires (another big research item for hubbie) and so far so good.

We went to a few RV dealers first, just to get an idea of sizes, floor plans and such but you can't beat the deals you can find from private sellers. If you have an pop up/TT savvy friend I would bring them along when you look, and find a trustworthy service place for a check up or just in case you have an issue later. Nothing more frustrating that having a problem and stressing about where to go at the same time. With some research and the ever helpful Fiends I know you will be able to find a perfect fit for you!
