Our Fleetwood Terra class A has plenty of seatbelts. The couch has 2 and the benches for the table have 4.

I appreciate the corrections and showing me the error of my ways. :rofl3:

Someday we will only be a couple of hours away, again. I miss that 1.5 hour drive from Palm Harbor to Disney. Now it is 19 hours or so, so on a good year we might make 3 trips. We usually hit MK, AK or HS in the mornings and hit EPCOT most afternoons and hang around the campground in the evenings. But once we move back to FL, I look forward to just hanging out at the fort.

If there is an Android app. I couln't find it. It looks like a great app and a heck of a challenge to get them all. (not in one night)

I heard home made apple pie might work. I might try to bring one. But I know what I would never forget traveling and that's beer and coconut rum. Beer and rum are a small price to pay for a chance at a spike. I have looked for several years around the train route with no luck. The last time I was there I didn't realize there was a way to get a spike. I had been reading the site, but didn't realize until we got home. But I would like to meet some of the fiends if any are there when we are.

Well we finally have our next trip to the fort scheduled. We will be there from March 13th to March 21th. Looking forward to meeting in person some fiends. Maybe we can "earn" a spike. I will have my fiend sign out. And always cold beer and Parrot Bay rum.

what was it doing going there anyway?

Looks interesting

Time to move up the next trip.

I have read that it can take a year or more to attract bats.

I was up at Grayton State Park in the panhandle last week and the love bugs were terrible. Heading home to TX last Friday was real bad. The front of my motor home looks like a giant spalt of love bug.

Our Fleetwood has an "AUX Battery" switch on the same panel with the hot water heater, and where you check your black/gray/ and fresh water levels. If you shut that off that should stop the humming coming from the converter. And if it continues to hum, please teach it the words so it can just sing along instead.

Best: The peace and quiet
Worst: Not spending enough time at the campground. All our time is in the parks.
Since our first trip to the Fort in 1990, I have always said you can spend a week at the campground and have a great time without going into the parks. Someday I may just find that out, probably not.

Does the trailer have a 12v battery system and is the smoke detector connected to the 12v system? If so check your batteries on the trailer. I have had similar issues with my LP gas detector. Once I charged my battery system, it stopped going off.

What am I missing here?
You still have a wife after that?
TCD
She has one heck of a sense of humor. She's has put up with me for over 30 years.

I will miss the 3 headed troll. I always told our kids that it reminded me of their mom and her 2 sisters. I guess the kids will appreciate that another one of my bad jokes will be put to rest, bummer. (My wife liked the joke too)

That was cool. I vaguely remember seeing them on my honeymoon back in 1981. Loved the show then and love the show still. And ain't it the truth, All the stories they could tell.

Once I found Western Way that is the only way I go now. I also got me kids going that way when they go to Disney. I think it is so much easier.

Some great input thanks. I am not really looking for cheap but there is abudget and if we want to stay in the area for 2 weeks or so there may be some
compromises.
Also maybe starting to look for a long term campground where I can buy a site to stay at now and retire to in a few years. Not sure if I should be asking about the retirement part since everyone on this site are so young an nowhere close to even thinking about retiring.

Does anyone have any recommendations for other campgrounds near Disney besides the Fort? I know this is sacrilegious
but with an 8 night stay next year over $1000.00 for the site only, I may be looking for some nice cost effective alternatives. I remember when the mid range hotels were $99.00 a night. I find it hard to swallow to pay more than that for the campground.
We will be there sometime in the spring for 2 weeks, we might spend the first week at the Fort but the second week somewhere close by.

My DW is going to love this.

We have had TT, C and we now have an A. I really like the A and towing a dingy. How much driving per day depends on where we are heading. To the fort we will drive 16-18 hours. But normally no more than 12 hours in a day. I want to get there and spend as much time as possible on vacation and then head home.

We have been to WDW many times during our spring break which usually falls mid-March and never had any real issues with the parks being over crowded. And with your early spring break the weather will stil be pleasant. You will also be there during EPCOT's flower festival. Enjoy!
Check in - anyone ever have this happen

Over the years we have had some really great check in experiences and some more interesting experiences. From the good being able to check in at 7:00 AM to more interesting when we stayed in cabins one time. Where we kept seeing people checking in for cabins and everytime we went up we kept getting told ours wasn't ready. We have also checked in a full day early when the campground we had a reservation for didn't have a site for us. My wife tried to call to see if we could extend our reservation coming in a day early. While she was on hold waiting to talk to someone we drove the 15 minutes from where we were going to stay to the fort, she hung up and the CM at the fort booth was more than accommodating and created a new reservation for the extra day and set it up so we didn't have to move sites at all. That trip we were there 16 or 17 days. Like most things in life it all depends who you talk to, I think what happened to you was more the exception than the rule. Enjoy your trip
