For years I was told the Russians and the Chinese were our enemies, and the middle eastern countries were our friends. Then over night, it seems, the Russians and the Chinese became our friends and we haven't quite figured out where the middle east stands - depends on the country du jour and what our government wants us to believe. I haven't seen the Chinese up close, but I saw the Russians and believe me, they weren't our friends.
Since I retired this has changed 8 times! I still get dizzy thinking about it! And to think I spent all that time studying Soviet weapons and tactics! Actually, that still works!
I actually saw some Russians on the Fulda Gap and probably some in VN too! I just wasn't smart enough to realize it then!

Popcorn. I don't know what it is about WDW popcorn that tastes so much better than anyone else. I used Orville Reddenbacher popcorn, popping oil, and popcorn salt at home, and it just does NOT taste the same!! It's magical popcorn, I'm tellin' ya!!
Especially at MGM!

UK & Canada, because they have the best beer, the R&C, Off Kilter and the WS Players! I love it there and the UK rest rooms are very good too!

Gee, we were just in DTD a couple of months ago and I didn't even notice that. Shows how observant I am.

The sad thing is, that no matter how high they jack the prices up, the restaurants will still be packed! At two credits, LeCellier is not a great deal any more. The last time we went was in 2006 and we won't be going back! I can see them doing the same thing with Chefs de and maybe Coral Reef too!

My kids like to drink beer with me!
No they don't.
Your sister goes along to make sure you don't spend too much money on overpriced Disney crap.
They don't?
and how come I have so much over priced Disney crap?

I know lots of people rave about Le Cellier... but I would be happier and get by ALOT cheaper with a grey goose slushie or glass of wine from France with a baquete and plate of cheese from the Boulangerie Patisserie.
I agree, but with a beer it's even cheaper. A 1664

BTW, my Daddy graduated from that dump (a long!!! time ago). He turned out okay, so it can't be that bad! LOL
The place is just old and the buildings are run down - just like they were 45 years ago. It is a good school though.....

I got a fantastic deal for Valentine's Day from a place called Living Social ~ two nights at the Aurora Inn, breakfast two mornings, a $50 certificate for dinner, a bottle of wine in the room along with 6 chocolate covered strawberries. PLUS, the Inn had a cheese & crackers and wine reception on top of it all. The whole thing was $230!
When we got to the Inn, we found out that we were staying at the E.B. Green house instead, because we were the only guests at the Inn - we were there the day after VD and things had slacened off a little. We had a corner room with a canopy bed, a marble fireplace, a marble bathroom with a double shower, and a beautiful view of the lake.

This is the room:
And we had turn down service too:
We ate dinner at a little pub down the street and it was beautiful, but I didn't take any pictures. Aurora NY is home to Wells College, which I never heard of before - a small liberal arts college which until a few years ago was a woman's college. There were lots of kids at the bar.
The next morning we went to breakfast at the Aurora Inn and were the only ones there - we had a great breakfast and then took off for some wineries - we ended up in Ithaca and at Cornell University - I hadn't been there since 1966! It is still a dump - albeit an expensive dump. We went up the west side of the lake and stopped at a small park along the way to see some falls!
We came back to the Inn and explored - here's a few pictures - we had full use of everything in the Inn:
That night we ate dinner ate the Aurora Inn again and it was AWESOME. We had our own server and an executive chef - all to ourself! The absolute BEST service I have ever had and one of the best meals ever. I took pictures of the restaurant the next day - our table was right in fron of the fireplace. We had a gourmet meal - scallop appetizers, lamb chops and some obscene deserts! It was a unique experience. The whole thing was a trifle expensive but worth it. The dinner that is. I obviously had to leave a great tip! I did have a Sam Adams too. The first picture is the table we ate dinner at.... the rest of the pics are from the Aurora Inn and the dining room....
Then after breakfast we stopped at a place called McKenzie-Childs - a pottery place that is unbelieveable! They mix colors like I've never seen before. People come from all over to buy stuff here - cups cost $50 each so we didn't buy much. They also had a farm house that they use as a display thatwe took a tour of. Beautiful place......
Then we lefte but not without a stop at stall #2
