  1. We've eaten at most of the ones we want to eat at on Disney property -

Victoria & Alberts is the one we still want to do sometime.

Our favorite?  Flying Fish and Jikos, Le Cellier and ESPN.

I think the food is overpriced, especially recently, but it is good.  We have never had a bad experience except for a crappy lunch once at San Angel.  We ate at the new Mexican place in December and it was great - but I had a lot of tequilla and don't remember much.  And Raglan Road was great too.

We've probably eaten at  Biergarden and R&K the most though.  Seems we gravitate to thos two a lot.

  2. hey guys, I hope you are aware that disney has a pass for anyone with disablities,

Yup - it's a called a GAC, if I remember correctly.  That's a really good board on the Dis that deals with disabilities........  the card is used to assist those with hidden disabilities and can help with a lot of things - the one thing it is not though is a front of the line pass.

Jim - not sure how similar this is, but our son had acute agoraphobia and panic syndrome starting in the 7th grade and continuing until a few years ago.  I still see signs of it now and again.  he was home schooled for a year and then went to a private school up until high school.  He got better until college and then had a relapse.  It reminds me somewhat of PTSD - which I'm sure I had at one time.  A lot of people helped with it, but camping was the one thing he liked to do and it helped him a lot.  He and I used to go camping a lot by ourselves.

  3. The weather weinies got it wrong again - we only had about 8-10" of snow, not over 2'!  But it's still a pain.  My wife decided to stay inside and just watch.  Thank God for snow blowers!  I was thinking about having a beer in the gazebo, but I guess not!

It only took me about 45 minutes to clean everything out and that included my next door neighbor's driveway.

  4. As for Island hopping - we went for 12 days - stayed on Oahu (Waikiki Beach) and went to the Big Island for a couple of days to see the volcano.  It was great.  We stayed at the Hale Koa which is a military resort for $99/night right on the beach.  There are lots of cheap - very nice places to stay with the military.  Here's a picture of it...

  5. I like Embassy Suites too......  When we come to Disney now, we tend to stay in time shares we rent through AFVC (Armed Forces Vacation Club).  They cost $349/week now and are awesome.  There are other places you can get good rates too.  In December we stayed at Polynesian Isles and Bonnet Creek.  Both were great for different reasons.  When I get around to it I will post a review of both of them.

  6. How much does it cost to ride the train?  Will it drop us off at River Country?  We decided to take DD to River Country on our next trip.  I know that she'll love it!

The answer to all of these questions is:  "Who cares?" -or- "Yes" -or- "Maybe"  Take your pick

  7. Like this Subject Matter Expert (SME).

The bank I used to work for bought HFC (the dumbest acquisition in HISTORY) and all the HFCers used to throw acronyms around all the time (before HFC was totally closed).  SME was one of them - except that SME also stands for Small Market Enterprise and was already being used extensively for that purpose.  Acronyms are dangerous.  FUBAR!
