  1. Our dog hates the 20min ride to the lake where we camp. she hates the boat, and shakes like a leaf at the groomer. There isn't enough room in the truck so we thought about putting her in a pet taxi and putting her in the tag along. We would stop every 2 hours or so to let her out. Isn't there something the vet can give them like a doggie sleeping pill? I really want to take her but I am struggling on getting her all the way to florida. Any suggestions

Gina, I have a houseful of paranoid nervous chihuahuas. The vet me gave some drops for them. It's HomeoPet Anxiety. It works like a charm. It was $14.95 from the vet but I found a site where you can get for $9.95. I can't remember which site. HomeoPet has a site too. It was the same price there as at the vet's.

Doodlebug that is great. I will do that for sure. I know she will be misreable getting down there, but I'm sure she would rather be with us more than a babysitter.

  2. The last GG we did was the safari dinner. Two table service credits. It poured so the safari was late getting started. I think the animals had all went to bed. The safari driver was nice, but he was in a hurry and really rushed through the ride. We ended up at tusker house for dinner I didn't really like the food that much. My DH and kids didn't either, But sister and family liked it a little more. We were seated next to a speaker that we all wanted to blow a hole in. (much to loud.) The surprise guests were Timon and Raffiki. everyone had a chance to get up and dance with them. Also each family had time for autographs, and pictures. A special pin was given at the end of this one also. We think we will do the safari early in the morning on this trip and probably get to see a lot more animals. Hope that helps

  3. Another grand gathering we did was illuminations. It was pretty awesome also. I think it was 2 dining credits. That one had food from the different countries in epcot. They had a story teller who brought the kids up and let them participate in the story. We all thought the food was pretty good there. they bring out a dessert table towards the end which was pretty good also. we had a reserved area to watch illuminations. That was a fantastic show.  They also gave us a special pin. That is another one we wish we had enough people to do again.

  4. In 2009 (our first trip) We went with my sister and her family. We had the deluxe dining plan and there were 10 of us. We did several grand gatherings. The tony's breakfast was our first. It was our first morning. I cried it was our first encounter with the characters. I thought it was very magical! Tony was a true entertainer. (He is also the real six bits at the hoop dee doo) He sang and introduced the characters Donald, daisy, minnie, goofy. they come around to all of the tables. he invited the kids to do the hookey pokey. At the end he introduced mickey and you get called up by families to see mickey and have your picture made with photopass guy. They also gave us each a special pin and seating for the philharmagic show. It was very cool. My family is going in April and we wish we could do it again. There is only five in our family and you need 8.

  5. campingmommy, We have decided to buy annual passes. for about $1000.00 more than 10day park hopper (4adult 1 child) we can get passes. we are going for 17 day in april-may, 6days in oct, 10days in dec, and then we will go next april before the tickets expire. After the passes are bought the camping isn't that expensive (compared to staying in a resort) and you have the added the bonus of eating in your camper. I hope you can convince him  Also we paid for our AAA and we were able to get a discount on the site.

  7. Well let me just tell you, I love putt putt at Disney. Winter-Summerland is my favorite. It has a Christmas theme. It is next to Blizzard Beach. If you want to play during the day I believe you take the BB bus. I'm not sure cause we always drive and play at night.

Fantasia gardens is fun too. It is across from the Swan and Dolphin. One side is themed to Fantasia and the other is like a regular golf course both are fun.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks! I thought they were together. We like to play PP at night too. I just keep getting more and more excited about our trip. I keep forgetting we can drive places.  :argh:

  8. Hi y'all  :argh: Please tell me about putt putt at Disney World.   How far is it to play PP from the fort? Which course do you like more? Are they in the same place just different courses? (winter wonderland, and fantasia) How much is it? Anything else you can think of would be great. We love to play when we go to the beach. We are looking forward to fitting some in at Disney World also.

  9. I've got a question. Do y'all leave your awning out when you go into the parks? When we are camping here on the lake we have to drop one side of our owning because the wind off the lake can pick up pretty quick. Many times we have came in from the boat and saw campers with broken awnings because they left them out and a storm blew in  :kickinass:

  10. I don't have pics of our pins, but we are just starting to collect. Our first trip was in 09 and we got kinda sucked into the whole pin trading thing. Hanes was doing a promotion collect upcs get a pin and laynard. I got one for all of us. It was a cute t shirt pin (wished I would have kept one) Anyway $200.00 worth of pins later....  :-[  We had a blast though and even ordered some off ebay (pin lots much cheaper) so we are ready to trade when we get there  :rofl2:

  11. Itch, I know how you feel. We thought we had everything worked out, Buying season passes, paying for the trip, and not going in the hole to do it. Well it turns out we now need a pit dug for the septic lines. $1300.00.  :o The Lesson have your tank pumped every three to five years.  ;) We're still going we will work it out somehow. I hope everything works out for you guys.  :parrot:

  12. I was at the fort looping the other day (by way of shanta's google earth  :)) ) and now I have a question. Are there some loops that have more standing water than others? Is it a huge problem or does it just look a little worse than it is? I guess it really doesn't matter, I would step out of my camper and hop in a canoe for a chance to enjoy the fort.  :rofl2:  Also someone mentioned something about biting flies one time. Can someone tell me when they are bad?  :-\  Thanks again.

    Gina

  13. I am sad, very sad  :rofl2:  We are coming home from the fort on May 15th (not sad about that) So we will more than likely not be able to swing it. Matt has to go back to work. sigh. When will everyone be there? If it is Fri-Mon. maybe we can take a day trip. That is if we can just show and introduce ourselves. If it works out we won't come empty handed.
