We're going to be down for the F&W 1/2 Marathon, and I was wondering about decorating.  We'll be at the Cabins - do they decorate too?  What kind of decorating is normally done?

Hi y'all. I was wondering when do campers start to decorate for halloween? I don't think my DH work schedule will let us work it out for halloween, but we can come around the 10th of Oct. Will people have decorations up yet? Are there alot of campers there at that time or do they come in right before halloween? Thanks in advance for all your answers. We are super excited about being at the fort in the fall

I love this thread! This is a big help for someone that has not been to Fort Wilderness yet. I love to read the different reasons people have for a favorite loop. When we come in April-May we are going to loop the whole campground.  :banana:

Hi y'all can someone tell me if there is a place to park a golf cart while we are doing laundry?  Aren't the laundry rooms in the comfort stations? Also does someone know about how many washers and dryers are in the laundry room. Thanks everyone.  :rofl2:

I just thought I would throw this out there... What is your favorite loop to stay in at Fort Wilderness Campground? I know everyone has a different favorite so give your reasons for why you pick that loop as your favorite. We are purchasing Annual Passes in April and we are not sure how to pick a loop. Well in all my freaking out I completely forgot about the buses  Momentary laspe of reasoning. I am starting to calm down now. Thanks so much for talking me through it. Y'all are right it's all good. I'm back in my Disney state of mind.  :)

What do you guys think about bikes? All the kids have one and we could pick up two for us without spending to much. Now I'm not in the greatest shape, but Florida is flat right? Do you think it's safe enough if we stay together. We weren't going to let the kids bring the bikes but now...

I know this isn't the GC thread, but I need some suggestions please. Kenny is booked!  :) We are going to the fort from April 29th to may 14th. I just counted on getting a cart from kenny. Now I don't know what to do. He already has 4 people on his waiting list. This is our first trip to the fort. We were just counting on looping. Now I want to cry. Do you think our trip will be ruined if we don't get a cart? We requested the 300 loop so can we walk to the pools and campfire? Just calm me down please. You know how it is when your set on something and it doesn't work out. I am really sad about this. Do you fiends think maybe I am making a bigger deal than I need to. Tell me we will still have an awesome time without a golf cart.

We have a small tv and Disney dvds usually just for a rainy day. They bring books, and drawing/coloring supplies. DS6 has a few action figures and box of legos. Most of the time the family just spends time together outside  ;D

My daughter wanted to know if we could pet the horses/ponies? I think I saw a sign in one of Dave's pics  that said no petting. Is that right?  ;D

We keep a blower in the MH.  I blow the site off once or twice a day & vac the inside of the MH each morning.  Now mind you at home, I wash floors when my feet stick to them, and vacuum the carpets when I can't find the cats!  ;D

:D Same here. For some reason I feel like everything in the camper must be kept in its place. I think because it is so much smaller than the house and with 3 kids it takes less than a day to trash the camper. I just can't relax when the camper is messy. On the other hand when i'm at home I can just go into another room    Along those lines I have a question. Does disney really clean campsites between guests? At our campground here I have to rake the whole campsite just to feel like I am getting rid of the last camper. 

I want to make sure they are ready also.  :) We do want to draw as many people as we can right.

I wish those people had little name tags on, so we could put faces to names. My biggest fear is that larry will introduce himself as ftwildernessguy 

Can someone who is not banned just go copy all the recipes off the dis thread and post them here? Really I don't know It might be a real pain in the a$$ to do something like that. I'm just asking  :)
