largest/brightest purple underwear I can find(if going to FW)
I think we just found a new way to identify fellow fiends from a distance:
1. Buy big, purple underwear
2. Put a clothesline on your site
3. Hang underwear purchased in step 1 on clothesline set up in step 2 :flush2:

Started camping with my folks when I was about 9 years old. I am now 50, and to date, I have never seen CS like they have at the Fort. Simply amazing.

I make really good sawdust! I love that lamp very cool looking does it slide up and down?
Yes it does. I got the plan out of an old copy of WoodSmith magazine. They have the plan on line for sale at PlansNow.com:

The bookcase also came from WoodSmith - I made mine without doors: http://plansnow.com/dn1128.html

The two best days of boat ownership: the day you buy it and the day you sell it.

I too know how you feel....but.... a TIFFEN ALLEGRO BAY!!!! AWESOME!!! :rofl2:
We couldn't turn the deal down. The previous owners used it locally and put a whopping 3100 miles on it, and they bought it with just about every option available, right down to the satellite antenna, washer/dryer, and vacuum system. Here is an album of pictures:

We recently traded in our 2002 Class C Jayco Greyhawk for a 2005 Tiffin Allegro Bay. Today, our old rig showed up on the dealer's web site.
We had a lot of fun in that camper, and I have a lot of great memories. I think whoever purchases this one will be getting a gem.

On our old camper we left it out unless the weather was calling for high winds.
We now have a class A that we purchased a whopping two weeks ago, and it has an automatic awning with a wind sensor which will close the awning when the winds get too strong. I still have some reading to do on that one - it is a nice feature, but I wonder how well it works?

Funny you should mention those places. The first day we went to Fretz RV, we also stopped at Stoltzfus in West Chester and Boat N RV. We were looking for a gently used Class A, and the Stoltzfus salesman showed a couple of rigs that were downright filthy. One even had a bag of moldy bread in one of the cabinets. His attitude was along the lines of "Oh well, we haven't cleaned this one yet." We were horrified. I remember thinking that if that was the level of care they gave prior to the sale, what could we expect afterwards?
At Boat N RV, the salesman was a really nice guy, but he knew jack-diddly-shit about RV's. Really turned us off.
We ended up buying from Fretz - they were great.

I live a bit west of you (Harrisburg area). We used to do the 15-270-495 route around the west side of DC but the DC-Richmond corridor has been a PITA since I can remember (drove that a LOT when I lived in the Tidewater, VA area and would visit realtives in Baltimore and Philly).
This time we are doing the 81-77-26-95 route. We drove it last year when we took a cruise and then visited Orlando. That route added a whole 30 miles each way for us. For you, if you grab the turnpike to Harrisburg, you can avoid some traffic by using either of the routes above. We do the trip in two days each way as I do all the driving. For our upcoming trip in August we are staying at the Charlotte NC KOA on the way there and back.
This being your first trip to Disney and Fort Wilderness, you are going to love it. Do your research and decide what attractions are most important to you and your family and realize you will not see everything. Relax and enjoy!!!
Since you are new to the RV - are you new to family camping in general or just new to the RV? Either way, plan lots of "shakedown" weekends - there are lots of RV parks not far from you (http://www.pacamping.com). French Creek State Park has a wonderful campground.
Welcome to the madness!!!

Again, title says it all - who should buyers steer clear of?
-
I have two:
Gayle Kline RV in Mountville, PA (just west of Lancaster, PA). Very friendly, helpful folks. We bought our Jayco hybrid from them in 2001, and then traded for a Jayco class C with them a few years later.
Fretz RV in Souderton, PA (between Allentown and Philadelphia)
We just purchased a Class A from them last week. It was a consignment unit that looked like it just came off the showroom floor. Being a consignment, it was sold as is. That being said, they went over the coach with us like we were newbies, and when the salesman noticed two of the day/night blinds were not working, he called the service manager who ordered replacements and had them shipped to us, no charge.

Title says it all - if you know an RV dealer who treated you well, and you would have no trouble recommending to others, list them here.
-
I would love to. I will have to check the on call schedule at work and see if I am on it that weekend.
-
Welcome aboard, folks. Don't blink or you'll miss something

Has anyone stayed there? Opinions? In another thread I recommended the Florence RV Park (formerly Florence KOA) in Florence, SC (I-95 south, about 30 miles south of South of the Border). For our upcoming trip in August we are taking the I-81/I-77/I-26/I-95 route, mainly so we don't have to deal with the traffic between DC and Richmond. From where we live that route adds a whopping 30 miles to the trip.

On two different trips to the Fort from here in Central Pennsyltucky we have stayed at what used to be called the Florence S.C. KOA. Clean, level pull thru sites, nice pool, friendly staff, and convenient to the highway without a bunch of highway noise.
It is no longer a KOA but now called the Florence RV Park - here is the web site: http://www.florencervpark.com/

Last time there we tried Raglan Road for the first time and really enjoyed it. The Shepher's Pie was outstanding!!

My new rig has one built in, and a washer/dryer too. Haven't tried it yet, but it has to beat hell out of the cost of using the laundry at the Fort.
