  1. Here's a good one. I never heard of such a trail.

    Uhh, what are "transpiration buses"

"A while back there was talk about a trial of some for of FP+ for the transpiration buses and resort guests booking a time for pick up has there been anymore word on this ?"

I think it might be time for this video.

Crank up the volume, make it full screen size, and enjoy!
  2. We eat at Tony's every time we are at Disney.  It's the atmosphere we like.  Lady and the Tramp is my favorite Disney movie (other than Cinderella, of course).

The theming is wonderful inside the restaurant - stained glass windows with Lady and Tramp, a fountain in the middle, lots of drawings/pictures on the walls with the dogs in scenes from the movie.  There is also a very bright, lovely garden/sun room from which diners can watch the people outside.

The food is probably below average for an Italian restaurant.  It's pretty standard fare - spaghetti, chicken parm, etc. - but there is a lot of it.  I made the mistake once of ordering a salad as an appetizer and I could finish neither that nor the spaghetti.

It's not a restaurant where one would linger; they like to get-'em-in-and-get-'em-out, but it's fun and different.  Once we were there for lunch and got there before the restaurant opened.  At 11 am, the Dapper Dans showed up and opened the restaurant by singing "Bella Notte."  I thought this was a really nice touch.  I'm a sucker for stuff like this.

  3. Okay, you drama spoilers!  I would have been scared out of my mind.  Not only does lightning frighten me, but I'm horribly afraid of heights.  Just the thought of having to climb through that hatch (I'm no spring chicken anymore) and get on top of one of those monorail cars gives me the total willies - not forgetting the fact that the flash of lightning and the thunder boom would have put me in a state of rigor mortis.

There's a lesson here for me: don't take the monorail!

  4. Ah, Lou, that was beautifully written.  As I said previously, I will miss the hope of ever seeing you as I board one of those big ol' people haulers.  Although I never was lucky enough to be chauffeured by you, I would like to thank you for safely getting your passengers to their destinations, your conscientiousness as a driver, and the part you played in "making the magic" come alive at Disney.

I know you are eagerly awaiting your new position, as there is always such excitement with a new job on the horizon, and I know you will be wonderful; but sometimes endings are just a little bit sad.

    Best of everything to you!

  5. We went to Atlantis on an excursion tour with RCCL.  The visit reminded me of Stella's bungee experience - cool for the first few minutes, but then it was rather boring.  IMHO, you didn't miss much.

I've always wanted to get my hair braided.  Those braids looked so very cute on your daughter!  And I'm so glad you didn't get your pocket picked in Nassau - that would not have been magical.

    Loving these cruise pix!

  6.   "On the Enhancement we boarded into a hallway.  No kidding.  We literally entered the ship through a door and into an elevator lobby.  Oh well, so first impressions weren't good.  But we were still onboard and we were ON VACATION! "

My goodness, that's different.  I've cruised with RCCL five times - once leaving from Port Canaveral - and we've always boarded through the atrium area.  But then again, we haven't cruised in about 8 years.

I'm with you; I'm not crazy about beaches either.  I much prefer a sand-free deck attached to a sparkling clean swimming pool.

Your girls are darling - and the look of total joy on Anna's face is priceless!

Looking forward to the rest of your cruise report!
